Students earn college credits while in high school.

The cost of tuition for one traditional 3-hour course at St. Philip’s College is approximately $1, 172, but ALL college credit courses at Seguin ECHS will be FREE to the student and their families.

Earning your Associate degree as a high school student could result in a savings of over $10,000!

College textbooks can cost from$100 - $350 per semester, but students enrolled in college creditcourses at Seguin ECHS will havetheir textbooks paid for by SISD.

Texas Success Initiative is an assessment that determines readiness for college-level course work in general reading, writing and math.

This pathway ensures that each Seguin High School student is college ready upon graduation.

Students may enroll in a two-year college or a four-year university after high school.

Opportunity for a post-secondary credential (certificate) that provides skills to prepare students for job-specific technical career paths.

Students may enter the workforce after graduation and/or transfer credits to two-year college and pursue an Associate degree

Provides between 3-42 college credits. Designed for college bound students. Students may transfer dual credits to two- or four-

year college. Core complete students will have the option to attend

a Summer Bridge program. (July 13 – 16, 2015)

Earn your high school diploma and an Associate of Arts, Science, or Applied Science.

This 2-year degree can be transferred to any 4-year public university in Texas.

Must begin this pathway freshman year. Students who select the Associate degree pathway will

be required to attend the Summer Bridge Program. (July 20 – 23, 2015)

Students/parents will participate in an informal commitment interview.

All 8th graders will complete a “Commitment Application” and return it to their campus counselor as soon as possible.

Students will indicatetheir preferred pathway on the application.

Counselors will meet individually with students and parents to develop a Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) outlining the student’s course of study.

The Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) must be signed by the student and parent.

Students may amend their PGP, but written notice of the amendment must be sent to the parents.

9th grade students will select an endorsement as part of this process.

An endorsement is a coherent sequence of credits in a specific area of interest as defined by the new graduation requirements.

SISD offers provides the opportunity to earn an endorsement in five different areas.

These endorsements are documented on diplomas and transcripts. Each endorsement requires a total of 26 credits for graduation.
