The fittings can be installed in the locations of existing lighting fixtures, so they are the most appropriate for changing fluorescent fixtures to LED fixtures.Improvements from previous Seiwa models (LZAA Series): 20% better intrinsic energy consumption efficiency, and enhanced color rendering property (Ra 83).Both single-lamp and double-lamp fluorescent light equivalence are avairable to match the brightness need. Wide selection of mounting types.

In normal use, these control boxes can stand up to corrosion. However if used in places where exposed to salty air or other adverse conditions, rusting and other issues may occur in a short period of time. In such case, please contact us before purchasing.

Seiwa technology offers high quality

Explosion Testing EquipmentThis equipment performs "flame-propagating tests" to check the ability of a flameproof enclosure to prevent the flame caused by internal explosion from propagating to outside explosive gas, and "explosion-pressure tests" to check its ability to withstand the internal explosion pressure. The vapour-tight tank which withstands an internal pressure of 30kg/㎠ and the remote controller are the main components of this equipment. Vacuum pump, air compressor, gas mixing chamber and other apparatus are also provided.

Water Splash Testing EquipmentElectric apparatus for outdoor use should be of rain-proof and droop-proof construction. This equipment is used to check for water leaks into the apparatus.

Vibration Testing EquipmentThis equipment checks the rigidity of contacts of components by giving vibration to the apparatus.

Light Distribution Measurement EquipmentLight distribution is measured by our automatic light distribution measurement equipment in the following way : the light reflected from the mirror is caught by the detector, and indicated on the digital graduator automatically.

This equipment tests a dust ignition-proof electric apparatus to check its dust-proofness and temperature rise. The sample apparatus is placed in the equipment where 200-mesh dust is continuously supplied at a rate of 2kg/㎥ to reduce the apparatus internal pressure to approx. 200mmH2O. Its temperature rise with dust accumulation on it is checked.

Dust Ignition-proof Testing EquipmentIn order to determine safety of explosion-protected electric apparatus against ignition of explosive gases, this equipment measures temperature of apparatus in the constant temperature room. Room temperature is determined and temperature rise is recorded by the controller outside. Overvoltage conditions and electric characteristics at high temperatures are also tested.

Temperature Testing EquipmentThis equipment tests the mechanical strength of a lamp cover by dropping a steel ball of a specified weight on the weakest surface of the cover from a specified height.

Adoption of the Minamata Convention on Mercury Prohibitions Expected to Start in 2020

Seiwa Electric is actively working on the development of substitute LED products.

Designed to prevent mercury pollution, the Minamata Convention on Mercury was adopted and signed in October 2013 at a diplomatic conference of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Kumamoto, Japan. The convention provides that the production and international trade of products containing mercury will as a rule be prohibited from 2020. Some Seiwa products will be affected, and we are actively developing LED products as substitutes.

LED Products (Mercury-Free)

1. In 2009 the UNEP Governing Council agreed to establish a binding international agreement on the control of mercury emissions.

2. In 2010 negotiations for the convention on mercury began. 3. In November 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand, the sixth session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC 6) discussed

draft procedures for trade and other matters to be proposed to the first conference of signatory nations. Attending the session were over 400 delegates from more than 120 national and regional governments as well as many intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations.

1. The convention was adopted and signed by the delegates to a diplomatic conference held October 9-11, 2013 in Kumamoto.2. The convention will come into force 90 days after it has been ratified by at least 50 nations.3. Before the convention comes into force, the seventh session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC 7) will be

held. After it comes into force, there will be periodic conferences of the signatory nations.

The convention applies to products containing mercury such as batteries, switches, lighting fixtures, measuring devices (including medical thermometers and sphygmomanometers), and dental amalgams. Among the restricted lamps products are fluorescent lamps for general lighting purposes (including compact fluorescent lamps, except those with mercury content below the regulatory standard of 5 ~ 10 mg) and high-pressure mercury vapor lamps.

Restrictions will apply to production and international trade. Products containing mercury that is in use will still be allowed from 2020.

Complete prohibition will apply to high-pressure mercury vapor lamps.

For fluorescent lamps, mercury content will be restricted (5 ~ 10 milligrams)

Metal halide lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, and some special-use lamps (including ultraviolet lamps) will not be restricted.
