SEL-2410 I/O Processor
■ Add I/O to Communications Processors for
SCADA and Station IntegrationUse communications processors with protective relays for SCADAfunctions and engineering access, instead of an RTU and additionaequipment. The base unit includes five I/O points. Use each of fourcard positions for one of the following I/O cards:
• Eight analog inputs for dc process values
• Eight digital inputs to sense status of contacts
• Eight digital outputs to control external devices
■ Time-Tag Digital Inputs for Sequential EventsRecorder Data (SER)Store up to 512 SER reports of digital input transitions, time-taggeto the nearest millisecond. Send the SER data to a communication
processor for system analysis and troubleshooting.■ Configure Custom Labels
Print labels for six front-panel LEDs to show channel activity, devicstatus, critical I/O status, or the results of logic calculations.
■ Operates Reliably in Substations—Meets IEEEC37.90 and IEC 60255 Protective Relay StandardApply the SEL-2410 in harsh substation environments; it withstandsvibration, electrical surges, fast transients, and extremetemperatures. Provides higher reliability, lower cost, and betterwarranty than alternatives.

Designed, built, and tested with the same practices, processes, and
standards that we use for our protective relays, communicationsprocessors, and other products. This includes compliance with IEEEand IEC standards for electrostatic discharge, fast transients, radiatedemissions, surge withstand capability, dielectric strength, pulsedmagnetic fields, and disturbances. Refer to the SEL-2410 Data Sheetfor detailed test data. Specifications and tests are per the ANSI/IEEEC37.90-1989 and IEC-60255 protective relay standards.

Add digital inputs, digital outputs, and analog inputs to SEL communications processors. Use SELOGIC ® control equations with logic, analog comparison,
edge-trigger, and timer functions for automatic local control and to combineI/O data into system information.
Get protection settings management, power system report management, high- speed local logic, and direct engineering access. Use SEL communications processors, relays, remote I/O modules, and I/O processors for higher reliability, lower cost, and more functions, instead of settling for an RTU. An RTU provides only remote I/O for SCADA; therefore, you do not benefit from the other functions available through an SEL communications processor-based system.
