SPRING 2019: NEW COURSE Three-Day Training with Optional SC-AFSP Qualification Exam 1 2 3 This training is held at multiple sites in the U.S. throughout the year. To register for one of our events visit kvausa.com/training/. CONTACT US Introduction to Semiconductor Development The first day of training will address objectives & strategies for safe semiconductor development according to the second edition of the ISO 26262 standard. Topics include Functional Safety Management and how to build an SEooC framework for semiconductor elements. Compliant Interpretation of ISO 26262 for Semiconductor Development On the second day, kVA will discuss selected safety mechanisms for IC & IP level semiconductors covered by Part 11. Participants will step through a semiconductor development project and learn how to apply the new ISO 26262 Part 11 to safety-related activities. Supporting Processes & Optional SC-AFSP Personal Certification Exam On the final day, kVA will present basics about FMEDAs for ICs & IPs. Then in the afternoon participants will have the option to achieve “Semiconductor Automotive Functional Safety Professional” qualification by SGS-TÜV Saar. This one hour written exam consists of all multiple-choice questions. Introduction to Functional Safety & ISO 26262 •Functional Safety Management •QM Supporting Processes •Confidence in the Use of Software Tools •Introduction into Design Verification •Usage/Qualification of Legacy Components •Differences in SEiC & SEooC Developments •Overview of Semiconductor Safety Lifecycle •Semiconductor Development Project Exercise •Initiation Activities •Necessary Assumptions Technical Safety Requirements at System & Hardware Level •Design and Verification by FMEDA Test & Production •Wrap-Up & Discussion Optional SC-AFSP Personal Certification Exam Semiconductor Automotive Functional Safety This new three-day training course is designed especially for semiconductor suppliers who are focused on developing functionally safe semiconductors according to the new ISO 26262 Part 11. SGS-TÜV Saar and kVA introduce Semiconductor Automotive Functional Safety Training in the U.S. During the class participants will learn techniques to identify methods to develop semiconductors functionally safe according to the second edition of the ISO 26262 standard.
