Dearfriends,

It isour great pleasure to welcome you for the Seminar on Finite Element Analysis-Application &Trends. Objective of the seminar is to provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing among researches, practitioners, scientists, and engineers.

11 Finite element method is great mathematical tool that helps engineers and designers in creating reliabledesign. The success ofFEM software is largely dependent on the skills of the users. It has been found thatengineers are very comfortable with basic analysis such and linear static, normal modes, heat

I conduction etc. However, the engineers require constant update of theirs skills for successfullyI implementing advance analysis for their design. The engineers need to take microscopic view of design.: using sophisticatedanalysismethods to develop cost effectiveand reliabledesign. The seminarwill

focus on the application of finite element analysis for design, development and validation of

I

components. The Seminar will include interesting case studies of real life problems. ProblemI definition, boundary condition, analysis parameters, interpretation of resuItsand finally use of the result

II

for design of components which will be discussed in the case studies. The participants, the experts andthe student can exchange their ideas in open house sessions.

II The topics to be conterests. This will help us in organizing presentation effectively." We look forward to you participation and support in national seminarvered include (but are not limited

to):

I

' Structural optimization" Linear structural analysis, Non linear structural analysis -plasticdeformation,largedeformationand problems

Non Iinear properties of materialsComposite materialsFatigue analysisDynamic analysis

/ Fluid flow and heattransfer analysis

I The participants are advised to sent their specific technical issues and interests. This will help us in

.~ organizingpresentationeffectively. We look forward toyour participation and support in national seminar
