• The Seminoles gathered native fruits , and vegetables, but did little farming. They hunted and fished for meat.

Seminoles had their own thing for doing their own things. They didn’t want to be involved in the Indian slave trade. They took runaway slaves into their own towns, and even intermarried with them.

About 4 years later General Gaines marched into Florida and attacked some Seminole towns and General Gaines let off a bomb and killed 306 men children and women. About 31 survived. About 500 Seminole remain in Florida.

In 1812 some Georgia Plantation Owners decided to attack some Seminole towns , the Seminoles found out and attacked first. That made the Georgia Plantation unhappy.

The first Seminole war was in 1817 It began when Andrew Jackson led many troops across the border. He and his troops burned many villages and captured 2 Spanish towns Northern Florida
