Acosta, Jennifer

As a senior in high school I tend to reflect upon my past often. I remember good times, bad times, but most importantly…my time here at Hinkley High. From pranking people to laughing hysterically with my friends, I’ve had a blast! I would like to take this time to thank all the people that made a difference in my school career. To all my friends, thank you for making every day worth living and helping me pick myself up. I will always cherish our great memories! Dancing in the middle of the gym, tying our shirts together, or just giving Mr. Huschka a hard time, gym was unforgettable thanks to Yeni (Thundercat). Racing to class just to win the rolly chairs, cracking jokes, or creating our hilarious “books” Karina (Tails) made these last years an amazing journey. Whether it’s going on an adventure or hanging out at Scarlett’s house (that’s the spot) our wolf pack is definitely one of a kind! We’ve been through heartbreaks and struggles but at the end of the day we’re always there for each other. Thank you wolf pack we better stay in touch after graduation! To my family, I know we’ve had difficult moments, but you guys have taught me life lessons I would’ve never learned without your help. To my teachers, thank you for pushing me to be my best and believing in my intelligence when others didn’t. A special thanks to Mr. Gaskell whom which I confided in, he really helped me when I was experiencing a hard time. I don’t think he even noticed how much he made a difference that point in my life. To Ms. Harris, whom which opened my eyes (even more) to life’s lessons through her teaching. Everybody mentioned in this Senior Will will forever be in my thoughts and heart!

Adams, Samantha

I leave Mrs. Bennett all the stories me and Kacey told you after coming back from lunch. The stories you didn’t want to hear but did anyway. The stories that made your day, made you laugh, or made you weird out. I leave Ms. Schultz all the complaints from junior year and all the crazy times senior year with me and Kacey. All the times we messed around instead of doing our work or the work you needed help with. I leave Ms. VanGundy the crazy times during 5th period. You got to meet the twins, and you know you enjoyed our laughs and help. You won’t forget the crazy twins. To the Incoming freshmen I leave you my knowledge of high school. Don’t be afraid of the upperclassmen because they were in your shoes not that long ago. When you’re a senior, just remember how you felt when you were freshmen. To next year’s seniors I leave you the top of the school. You are now on top and feel like you can do anything. Just remember not to let that get to your head. Let senior year flow through you and enjoy the ride. And finally to all the students I leave you the strength of overcoming Hinkley High school. This school isn’t as bad as it could be, but you do need strength and your friends to get through this school. Your will survive it, enjoy.

Alcala, John

To all the underclassmen: I leave you these few words. I leave you my locker the held my books. My books my locker held. I leave you my baseball jersey for the next student to wear and support the blue and silver. I leave my desk in all my classes where the next student may learn. To Mr. Noyes: I leave the first time I finally loved math. I leave the memories. Memories of making sandwiches for the homeless and Alexis accidentally turning on onto a one way street. I leave memories of late night bus travels from a baseball game and memories of walking through the halls and groups of students walking slower than turtles. The last thing I leave you with are these words of wisdom: Do Not Procrastinate!! It’ll hurt you in the long run.

Ajin, Selena

I, Selena Ajin Escobar Margarita Herminia Rosita Florisita Carlos Corneleos Contreras am leaving my Senior Will to my best friend Natasha Escobar-Ajin. Girl, I’ve seen you grow up so fast and now you’re in high school! There’s going to be a lot of challenges, so do me and yourself a favor and take them. Go for the IB diploma, go be the best in ROTC and be in the top ten! I have so much expectations for you and I now for a fact you can do it. We had so

much laughs and great times, but now it’s time to be independent and take things seriously. To the rest of my High school friends, I’ll always have those good memories we had with each other. I’ll never forget you and hopefully you won’t forget about me. Good luck in the real world and be careful! I also want to leave my word of advice for the 2016 freshman. Make good decisions because the decision you make now will affect you in the long run. Have fun, live life but remember education is key to life’s success. Last but not least I want to leave my School Spirit to Hinkley High School!

Arizola, Mariah

These past four years of high school have been filled with so many good and bad times. I’ve learned who my true friends were and who weren’t worth my time. I’ve struggled through some of my classes, but most importantly I enjoyed my four years with good memories. Even though my sister, Desiree Williams, will not be entering high school until the year of 2014, I will like to leave some advice to her…Desiree, I want you to know that you are an amazing person with so much potential, and I know you’re scared about entering high school, but to be honest with you Desi, high school isn’t all that bad. You have more freedom, you get to choose what kind of classes you prefer, and you have a wider variety of electives to choose from that I know you’ll find interest in. If you ever are having any problems with school you can always find a teacher to confide in; when I was a freshman, I had met this teacher. She taught my computer class; her name is Mrs. Bennett. She is a really cool teacher, find a teacher that will inspire you and go to with any questions about anything. I will leave behind the memories I had with so many people I was once friends with and people I gain friendships with, my Wal-Mart story to Ms. Schultz who harassed me all year long about it, my smile to all my teachers I had throughout the years, to always remember me, lastly I will like to leave my tennis racquet to my sister in case she will like to try to play the sport.

Barcenas, Paloma

To all my teachers thank you for helping me realize my potential a special shout out to Ms.Boll, Mr. Mora, Mr.Hinkley, and Mr.Bain and those teachers who do what they can to try and make school a place where students don’t dread coming to everyday. To Mrs. Harris, she’s inspired me to never give up and I don’t think she gets enough credit for all that she’s done and overcome this year, she’s what I consider a great teacher; because you can tell she loves what she does and she always has a smile on her face. To Mr. Barnett, I leave you ALL those tardy slips I’ve given you this year; you could probably restore an entire forest. To Edith, I leave you a helmet, elbow and knee pads for the next time you decide to step in ketchup somewhere and fall.  To Melissa I leave you our fun memories and my patience because I know that in a few weeks, you’ll definitely need it. To Gladys, best friend, although these past years we’ve kind of drifted I still got you, and I leave you all the crazy memories we’ve made these past 8 years, all the girl night outs, the sleepovers, the awkward moments, and inside jokes and all the memories we have yet to make. To Xochitl, Sheila, Kimberly, and Katherine, I leave you all my wisdom so that if you’re ever stuck in a situation and I’m not there to have long emotional talks with you guys, you can just think of those corny quotes I always bust out with and remember, stay up and stay awesome. To Miriam I wouldn’t have survived these last two years without you, you’re one of a kind and I hope you never, ever change. To you I leave, my ambition and courage, so that you never give up or give in to the negative things anyone tells you, you’ll make it, I know you will. To Jordan I leave those very weird conversations and laughter we’d have in English and that one “cool” handshake, which I bet you already forgot. Last but definitely not least, to my beautiful family and to God, with them by my side I’ve overcome all the obstacles life’s put in my path. Thanks to everyone, friends, teachers, and people I’ve met along the way, you’ve all made a huge impact in my life and I love you all for that.. I hope you all make it far, never give up and remember to smile. I’ll miss you all, stay beautiful.

Bell, Stephen

High school has been an amazing part of my life but there will be people who I will always remember and be with. My Mom and My Dad I would like to thank you for your guidance and supporting me through about everything. I

High school is a place where many people find out who they are but, not only does that person find themselves they find their passion. My time is up and I leave my legacy to my friends and teachers. Chris Davis, I leave you my Euphonium. Treasure it and grow your skills as a musician, I believe that your skills will surpass mine if you work hard at it. Remember to oil the valves twice a week and also grease the slides once every two weeks. Ryan Vincent, I leave the band to you. You have the skills of a leader. If you are to receive the position of Drum Major remember that being a leader is making people believe you have authority. Your biggest challenge will always be inspiring people to want to be superior then other people. Your job is to bring out the best in everyone. I thank you so much for being our drum captain for both seasons. I am glad I was the captain of the pit learning what you have mastered. Dr. Thomas James Ball, I would like to leave every possible thank you that I have. You are taking the toughest challenge that anyone has ever had. You have 3 kids and 4 jobs and a wife that loves you, My aspirations came from you. You know so much and push us to do our best. Jose Bustillos, Jose you will spend four years wondering what life will bring you I only hope that whatever you do don’t let anybody get in the way of what you love. You will become an amazing musician. Love you. To My Mother and Father, I love you and without you I would have not made it. I love you both. Thank you.

Campbell, Cody

It’s finally time to reflect and leave our memories of high school to fellow students, teachers and our parents. And to give our memories from all four years is one of the biggest gifts to share. To Dominick; I leave you with the memories of chaos at the lunch table sophomore, junior, and finally this year, hope we say in touch, Bros and best friends. To Terra De’Vita; I leave you with the memories of our friendship at Sable Elementary and this year I hope we can stay in touch. To Jacob Williams; I leave you with my Diamond Armor and my Enchanted Diamond Sword in Minecraft, May all Mobs forever cower before you. To Ben and Elvis I leave you with our friendship starting from freshmen or sophomore year. Tabatha; I leave you with the times the camera did not work in yearbook class. To Jasmine Avery; I leave you with all the laughs we had sophomore year. To Ann Marie; I leave you with all the boring math studies from last year. To Rocio Prez; I leave you with all the boring class work from Civics and 21st Century Conflict and English. To Ms. Bennett; I leave you with all the times I was your student assistant and never had stuff for me to do. To all the freshmen; I leave you with these words of wisdom; Never ever wait until your senior year to get your act together. To all my other Friends; “May the odds ever be in your favor

Carter, Justin

Hello everyone and welcome to the senior class assembly. My name is Justin Carter and I would like to talk to everyone about my life here at Hinkley High School and give them some advice. The first piece of advice is for the freshmen becoming sophomores. My advice to you is to get all your work done, so that you don’t have to join Mr. Haley in E2020. My next piece of advice is for the sophomores becoming juniors. Now is the time to make sure that

Page 19: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

you are on track to graduate in a few years when you become seniors. Also another thing you need to do is make sure that your mind is on becoming the best you can be and not what someone else wants you to be become. My third and final piece of advice is to the juniors that are now becoming seniors. Start next year off with a bang and try to fill up your schedule so that you can graduate and won’t become a super senior. The last thing I have for you guys is to be nice to your teachers. Now on to the memory part of my speech. The first memory I have of this place is when Mr. Fisher introduced himself to me at freshmen orientation. But the main memory I have is about hanging out with my teachers during my off period. During those times I have had a blast talking with Ms. Shrek, Ms. Boll, and Mr. Trumble. They are very different when there are no students are around. Maybe expect Ms. Boll!!! Ms. Shrek and Mr. Trumble are really funny once you get to know them. But overall my favorite teacher to hang out with is Ms. Shrek. Thank you everyone!!!

Castillo, Javier

To Alejandro, I leave you the comfort of knowing I never told of that one day in the computer lab, or the time in the slide, It was awesome we were able to become good friends starting back from middle school. To Faith, I leave you a taste of “Shutter Island”, as well as the pleasure of sitting next to me during our wonderful psychology exams where unexpected reactions happened, like the Carol incident. Carolina I leave you the countless time we went to the candy store and out for lunch, the times we walked home together, and the satisfaction of having a witness to the violent act you were a victim of with the apple. To Isis and Han remember to not let anything break you as you two are small and fragile, and Eden it was a pleasure protecting you from racist people! Briza I leave you the bill of my psychologist for the times you bullied me! Shelby, Marissa, Gladys, Lesley, and Lorena thanks for contributing to an amazing high school experience. Ms. Yay I leave you the unimaginable pleasure of having me and faith in your class, as well as the dead finless fish of your sister in your conscience. Ms. Schreck I leave you a million thanks for having been an amazing math teacher, one of the few great ones I’ve had. Ms. Irons I leave you also a million thanks for having been a great English teacher, and by far the nicest teacher I’ve ever met, you are the best story teller ever! Finally Ms. Bennett, I leave you the wonderful and exciting religious discussions we had, and the expectation that in the future if everything goes to plan, I will come back and say hi all in black with a little white square, ready to confess and establish the inquisition!

Covarrubias, Xochitl I would like to thanks a great friend that has been with me all the way through Middle school and High School together more than a best friend also a sister Paloma Barcenas. I would like to leave my positive attitude to a great friend Criseida Orozco to know that she is capable of succeeding. I also want to leave our random memories we had together now since we were toddlers and still part of my life and in my heart Melissa Gutierrez. To a best friend like a brother since 5th grade Angel Lozoya I leave you my annoyingness. I want to leave Edith Ramirez those wonderful laughs of every embarrassing moment’s we went through together like falling in public many times. For Katherine Zamora I would like to leave our weirdness in swimming class and all our belly flops while trying to be the pros at diving not work so well and just in case you didn’t know I’m glad we meet. I also want to leave those great memories of hearing my name shouted in the hallway by four wonderful friends Cynthia Cordova, Adriana Martinez, Crystal Medina, and Joselinne Mendoza and being able to see them every day with loudness and laughter. I also want to leave those great laughs a friend that I meet during the year Jazmin Murillo very friendly and always able to have a great time. For two of the greatest teachers, Mr.Hinkley and Ms.Shreckengast, that had the patience to tolerate me I want to leave them my weirdness, bugging them all the time, and laughing moments we had. They are more than teachers, they are friends. Also much luck to a new teacher at Hinkley who is really helpful and friendly Mr.Neupane.

Crandall, Jack

I would like to start by saying I’m really going to miss the high school life all the friends that became family members and always had your back when things were about to pop off. Secondly all the girls will never be forgotten it’s like being at the mall everyday with hundreds of beautiful young woman. Now for me to will some things to my fellow peers and underclassmen. I would like to leave my strength and endurance training to a young fighter Austin Curtwright. I want to leave all my thoughts and knowledge to the young underclassmen that shall follow in the hard struggle and stress through their high school career. Good Luck youngins. For me to leave this great place and move on is a hard task but it shall be done and I’m going to leave with my youngin sierra ternes my accent because it always has us cracking up at the drive thru. My speed and heart for the game of baseball I’m leaving to my bro young Austin farmer AKA little tulowitski. You better be killing it your senior year I’ll be there to root you on. Most of all I’m just going to miss seeing the same people every day and messing around with my freshman’s during our off periods we have had the best of times and they will never be forgotten. All that’s left to really say is good luck you under classmen and succeed to your fullest ability. May 21st, 2013 is a new beginning and I’m really ready for that next step into the workforce and the real world wish me luck Hinkley here we go.

Cruz, Elisa

If you are reading this right now it means I have graduated Hinkley High School. It was a nice time while it lasted, and hopefully you leave feeling the same. Make as many memories as you can so that 10 or 15 years from now you can look back and think of all the ups and downs that created you into the person you are. Give yourself a reason to smile. Give yourself reasons to tell your kids over a million stories. Do it to the point where you have them sitting on the couch for over 6 hours listening to your stories. That’s the kind of memories I’m talking about because, trust me, if you don’t do that, you’re going to have nothing to look back on and feel regret. No one should have to feel like that. So, all that I ask of my fellow seniors is to make this senior year the best. Treat it as if it’s the last year you live. Freshmen year you got through the tough gym classes, sophomore year you got through your last year of CSAP, and junior year you got through the ACTs. Congratulations, you’re a senior, and this is only the beginning. On spirit week go crazy. Make yourself look ridiculous and just have fun. Enjoy the rest of this year and make it count. Although I may not be the first or last one to tell you this, I just want you to know that I’m proud of you and good job for making it this far. I’m sure you will do great in life and all that you wish to do. Good luck my fellow senior. I believe in you and you should, too.

Del Real, Daniel

As I leave Hinkley High School, and move on with my life I have a few words left to say. As captain of the Hinkley golf team for the past three years, I’ve grown a lot as a person and as a golf player. I’ve mentored kids who have never played the game of golf and tried to get them to reach their full potential. I leave this team in the hands of Jerome Lucero. I choose Jerome because of his passion to learn and his desire to get better at the game I love. I leave my passion for the game of golf to Chase Raad, and I hope he continues to strive to get better and reach his full potential. I want this team to go farther than where we as a team went when I was captain. I will never forget the first time my team won a tournament in the season of 2010 defeating Rangeview High School by one stroke. I leave the hard work I put in to the future golfers that join this amazing team. To the future coach, I leave my patience to teach the future golfers as I know it will be tough as many kids have never played the great game of golf. My emotional, mental, and physical aspects of my game I leave to everybody that wants to try golf for the first time. I enjoy teaching, mentoring, and helping others because I know how they feel learning this game. My passion for the game of golf has led to winning three times individually throughout my career in high school and once as a team. I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into this game, and I leave with no regrets about anything I’ve done.

Davila, Jorge

After I leave high school, for my senior will I will leave behind my worn out barley usable skateboard to Antonio a.k.a Antwon in hopes that one day he will be as good as me one day. I will also leave behind my collection of

Page 21: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

skateboarding stickers for my friend Alex to decorate his skateboards since he’s always buying new decks, and he’s the best skater I know that isn’t over 23. Another thing which I will leave behind is my collection of Trans World Magazines which I have collected over the years to my friend Angel to maybe light a spark and encourage him to skateboard, and maybe introduce him to a hobby other than drawing cars, and playing videogames. Another thing I will leave behind is my skull candy laker’s edition to my friend Luis for constantly asking for a pair of ear buds, and to leave him with the memory of how loyal a friend I was. Lastly I will leave behind my best piece of art which I named Bane in Darkness to my art teacher as remembrance of how hard a worker I was. Senior year was really fun and exciting but the most fun I had was joking around about Leo’s Soccer mom van, and contemplating and laughing at how little Spanish we really did know with Alexis. Some valuable advice I would give the soon to be seniors or even the freshmen is do not procrastinate .Instead do the work now and procrastinate later. When thinking of when you will do your homework set more than enough time during the day to get it done. Procrastination will take a toll on your G.P.A, and trust me a low G.P.A is not a good thing if you’re planning on going to a good college.

Elias-Martinez, America

The creation of an unrecognizable path in my family has been set. Graduating is an option and I am here as the prime example that anyone can avert adversities to be successful. High school was not any easy path to walk but it was definitely worth the struggle. I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing people in my life. I thank my soccer family without their multitude of personalities I wouldn’t have enjoyed high school as much as I did. I leave them with the memories of our practices, and soccer games. Especially the falls we had during our snowy practices. I leave them all my support as their Captain America. I thank Maria & Jenny as my co-captains for being leaders with me. Cindy I appreciate all the hard work you put into the team and the four years of making the soccer season a pleasure. Marcos THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! I also thank my two best friends: Connie & Valeria. I leave you guys with all the memories we have created, the laughs we have shared, the recognition as the hyenas! Valeria I leave you with the late night memories, all the in-depth conversations, and my gratitude for keeping me sane! Yeater! I thank you for your women advice and for making psychology a wonderful experience. I leave you the memory of my laugh. Lastly I want to thank Nickoloff! I leave you my captain badge to show my appreciation for everything you’ve done not only as a soccer coach nor teacher but as a beloved person! You’re words have opened my eyes to the reality of the world and have allowed me to prepare for this independent lifestyle as a new leader in the “real world.” High school will always be a beloved, cherished & missed experience.

Escalante, Jesus A.

My four years at Hinkley High School have been a long but enjoyable journey. I have been blessed with friends that care for me and been there for me through the hardships and fun lovable moments. I would like to thank Jennifer Burrnet for helping me my first two years of high school being there like the big sister I always wanted and it was heart breaking to see her move to a different state but my heart goes out to her. Up next is a person so special to me that I don’t know where I would be without her; my best friend Karen Serrano. How we met we are unsure but I am glad we did because she has made not only high school enjoyable but life enjoyable as well and made each moment we spent together in a musical enjoyable. Of course there are many others that had made in impact in my life such as Connie Trujillo who became really close to me and help each other from there on; Shelby and Marissa for always being so kind to me throughout the years I can never thank them enough for sharing their kindness with me. Scarlett, Karina, and Lorena for making my senior year so enjoyable and having so many great new adventures that I will cherish. Adrian for being a good friend. Teachers that have also supported me are Mrs. Schultz, Mrs. Dina, Mrs. Irons, Mr. Bergen, Ms. Van Gundy, Mrs. Wesinbelier, and Mrs. Palko. My mother and little sister for also supporting me in this long journey and finally Rojelio who also help and supported me in my choices I made. My final words are to never give up and cherish the bonds you make with those around you.

For my Senior Will I want to leave one word of advice to the incoming freshman, don’t build your life in only one specific thing. But you don’t want to forget nor regret something that had you smiling at some point. Leaving behind a small little advice to other under classmates I would also like to leave a positive attitude to whomever would like to take it. Thinking positive can always be very useful and helpful for many people. Positive attitudes make you think and take the best decisions there is. Building up your life into one specific thing can yet bring many consequences maybe not a lot but one thing for sure is that you could be looked up into the person that follows everybody else. Buildings a life that can most of the times lead into not going to class, maybe even skipping all the time. I also want to leave the simple skill and abilities to my nephew: Jose make high school your last and don’t forget about all the memories you will be making at some point in your life you will be able to look back into those memories. The will of advice I am leaving to most of under classmates isn’t for you not to ditch. I’m sure many of us has had our ditching day, Skipping class won’t make you any less nor any cooler, but ditching most of the time can get you behind not only in class but also in your credits. I would love to leave this advice to who freshman who will be staring here at HHS around the dates of August. Fatuch, Kacey

To Gen Bennett: I leave behind all the creeper stories, and all the laughs me, you and Samantha had. I leave behind the jokes and the smiles we had in your room while playing life or Mexican train. I will miss you. To Kerrie Schultz I leave behind the complaints from junior year. I leave behind the complaints from senior year. I will miss the laughs and the fun the twins and in your room. I will miss you. To Jennifer Van Gundy I leave behind the times during 2nd and 5th that the twins hang out with you. I will miss the laughs and smiles we had. I will miss the times you picked on the twins and the laughs we had in Biomed. To the new seniors You are now the head people. Make sure to make your opinions heard and never give up if it’s the right thing to do. Protect the new kids and make sure you leave a legacy. To the incoming freshman Don’t be afraid of the seniors. They were a freshman once too. Start your legacy and make sure make your opinion known. If you don’t like something say it.

Feseha, Lidia

When I leave this school, I will leave behind many things that have made me the person I am today. Things that don't define me but have helped me develop over that past four years. To Martha Hernandez, I leave the first chair clarinet seat. Although you are a great musician, that is not your best quality. It is your willingness to be better at everything. You never limit yourself and I respect you for that. To the entire Instrumental Music Department, I leave you with words of wisdom. Don’t limit yourselves and don’t allow others to limit you. It will be tough but you can’t allow any obstacle to divert you from reaching your goal. If you want to be excellent, be excellent. To whoever earns the position, I pass down my position as Drum Major. Along with it I pass down the Drum Major's mace. To everyone, “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation... We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” (Aristotle). To all of my teachers, thank you. Special thanks to Mrs. Dina, Mrs. Irons, and last but definitely not least, Dr. Ball. I am extremely grateful to all of you for the education and opportunity you’ve given me. You’ve done an amazing job not only teaching me, but caring for my education.

Garcia, Eduardo

What I would like to leave is all the fun memory’s I had with my friends and my brother, like when we used to go to Jack In The Box during lunch, and when we used to be bumping to Mexican Music in the school’s parking lot with some badass speakers, also when we used to go to the Aurora Mall or the Cherry Creek Mall and just chill and walk around, also I would like to leave all the laughs we had, and also what I would like for my brother to do is to stay focus in school and graduate, he is going to be a senior next year. What I would like to leave him is all the good things I had as a senior, and for him to enjoy his last year in high school and make it the best, cause you can only be a senior once in your life.

Gonzalez, Berenice

I, Berenice Gonzalez, member of the graduating class of 2013 would like to will all my good advice to my brother Carlos Gonzalez. Carlos will be a Jr. next year, and now that I won’t be able to see him during school, I would like to will him some advice that helped me through high school. The first advice that I would like to will to my brother is, to always put your best effort onto things. Putting effort onto things has helped me go through high school in a successful way, and I’m sure that it will also help Carlos. The second advice that I would like to will to him is, to not put much attention to what rude people might think or say about you. There will always be people who do anything just to get attention, even if it means putting some one down. The best thing to do in this kind of situations is to just ignore them, and keep on doing what you’ve been doing, because that’s what kills them inside. The third advice that I would like to will him is to not ditch any of his classes. Once you start ditching a class it becomes easy to ditch it more frequently, but the content lost during those absences do affect the learning more than we think. The fourth advice that in my opinion is really important is, to always ask questions when something is not clear to you. When learning new material it’s always hard to learn it in the first try, so it’s always good to clarify questions you might have. The last advice would be, to set your goals high. It’s always good to set goals high that way you’ll know what you can accomplish.

Gutierrez, Carolina

First of all I would like to thank all my teachers for their help throughout these years. I would also like to thank my friends: Gladys, Alejandro, Faith, Briza, and Javier for making these four years the best. To Gladys I leave her the image of my smile since she always found a way to make me smile and also laugh. We would have a great time when we got to hangout during our off period or lunch. To Alejandro I leave him those fun moments we had while I was still in French class. I think instead of being a French class it was an Art class every day you would come up with something different to draw. I was never able to draw something like you since I only know how to draw stick figures. Faith I leave you the lunch moments we had together, trying to get to the lunch line on time before the line got longer and we wouldn’t get anything to eat. To Briza I leave her our math moments since you would always help me out when I was lost which was all the time. Javier I leave you all those moments we always messed around in class. Pushing me, hitting me, almost killing me and calling each other “Idiots”! I will miss all of you, but hopefully we stay in contact after graduation. Now the high school years will turn into a memory. Congratulations Class of 2013!

Gutierrez, Melissa

The two years I spent at Hinkley High school as a junior and senior were the best and I will miss this amazing school and all my friends! I leave behind memories in the back far table where we sat in the west commons. To my closest and best’s friend, Angelica De Dios: I leave you a shower set so you won’t be called “Stinky Angie” anymore by my niece Aaliyah. To Sheila Jimenez: I will leave you blonde extensions so you can have more “blonde moments and brain farts”. To Paloma Barcenas and Katherine Zamora: I leave you our movie night’s that we shared with fear and nightmares. To Xotchil Covarrubias: I’ll leave you a stress relief ball so you won’t beat up anyone, but the poor ball you will squeezed the sponge out of. And to all my underclassmen: Be yourself and stop ditching, be responsible because you don’t want to stay another year after four years still in high school. Enjoy your senior year the best you can! Participate in activities and sports! Be known by everyone so they all know who you are! To all those I didn’t mention I blame the 300 word limit, I love you all…! Class of 2013.

Hailu, Nathaniel

Ms. Johnson I leave you the feeling of helping someone in their future. Without you, I probably wouldn’t have been on time to get accepted to any colleges. You motivated me to go to college even more than before. You are an amazing person inside and outside of school. It’s important for me to tell you this because it is possible to change

Page 24: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

someone’s life in a positive way. You’ve set my future. Underclassman, we leave you with Hinkley High school as it is changing every day. WE are bringing back the joy and happiness of this school as it was before. We have a bad reputation now but it’s gotten better. It’s important to do activities, because they make school less stressful. Try to get along with everyone, because more friends, more fun. Also get along with the staff and teachers; they make life a little better. They help you a lot with almost everything. Get into leadership; it helps with things in life, with just being a leader. I want to leave some memories with friends of mine. How we would always talk about sports, the game we just played, and just going out to eat a lot. How after every football game, we go as a team to country buffet and get fat. How we would go to hooters on Wednesday for all you can eat wings. Best part about Hinkley High School is the activities, spirit week, the plays, and all the friends that are close to you. Last but not least, I leave the school to the younger class. Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those we matter don’t mind.

Hayes, Quainshon

As I move forward to continue an educational journey toward success, I would like to leave behind advice to my favorite three underclassman Ahonsi, and Dante. “Focus on what is important in life. Remember where you want to be in 10 years, and do what needs to be done to make those dreams come true”. To my cheer babies whom I see more as little sisters Asia, Khyla, Iman, and LaNique I pass down all my jokes that made us have to do 20 extra push-ups in practice. All my teachers that pushed me multiple times never giving up, even when the only thing I deserved was a beating I leave them one of my senior pictures with a special not attached thanking them for motivating me.

Hermosillo, Elisabeth

I, Elisabeth Hermosillo aka Liz will give my precious memories about the school I called home for four years. Because I have many wonderful memories, I thought I should leave some to my friends at Hinkley High school. To my best friend Jakie Vazquez, who will be a Jr. Next year I leave her my memories. Those memories of us laughing so hard that we would cry because we wouldn’t stop laughing. Those memories of us pulling pranks on Jesus. I leave those memories with you because we shared them together. To Navil F. I leave you our memories as well. Although you will graduate, these memories will be ours forever. Memories no one else will ever have nor share with us. Those memories of us helping each other out when no one else would. These memories mean a great deal to me because it showed we are true friends. To all students who will be new artist, I leave my favorite art Teacher, Ms. GG. I hope you all will make crazy fun memories as I did. For those students doubting themself I want to say one thing. Never think you’re too late to change your grade or to do your work. Always push yourself to do better than last week and the week before. Try to do everything you can above and beyond what you think you can only do. Don’t sell yourself short because in the end you’ll only hurt yourself. If you try and get deeply involved in school you’ll have the best years of your life. Good luck T-birds wish you the best four years here at Hinkley High School. Peace and love.

Hernandez, Valeria

My past four years a Hinkley have been a roller coaster of good and bad times. From falling down the stairs by the gym to passing a math test with 100%, I have had stress built on my shoulders and have wanted to give up. I would have never made it here if it weren’t for my best friend, Raquel Almeida. Who always had me laughing and doing crazy things. I leave her my friendship because a friend like her is hard to find. I leave my high school diploma to my parents, Lourdes and Sergio Hernandez, so they can always look back and be proud of my accomplishments. I would like to thank my awesome teachers who never gave up on me and always pushed me to be my best. I leave all my memories to my friends, and hope to never forget them. These years have been some of the best years of my life; I wouldn’t change anything that happened. High school has opened up many opportunities, from taking college classes to being an intern at a preschool. I will never forget the adventures, fun times, amazing people, and

Page 25: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

memories I’ve had here. When I came to high school as a freshman I had tons of friends, but we eventually all drifted our own way, but I want you all to remember you have a place in my heart and I will never forget the crazy times we had together even before our freshman year. To my underclassmen, it will get harder before it gets easier, but enjoy your time here. The years will fly and before you know it you’ll be a senior getting ready to graduate. Never give up no matter how hard it gets, have fun and make the most of it!

Johnson, Darius

My name is Darius Johnson, and I am a senior at Hinkley High School. I am writing this senior will because I am required too. I am going to give advice to both of my sisters who are going to be freshmen in high school next year. When you guys enter high school, I suggest you be serious from start to finish because at the end, it will all pay off at the end, and it’s worth it. Do not slack off by any means necessary, because if you do, then you will regret it. You are in the final four grades of your life, don’t give up now, and throw it all away. One object I will pass down to one of my friends is my lucky pen. My pen got me good test results, especially in math. I think I will pass this to my friend Luis, as he will become a senior next year. I participated in football my freshmen year, and my jersey number was 23. Number 23 was Michael Jordan, and he’s one of the greatest athletes. One of the best memories was in 10th grade when my teacher chose me to speak in front of administrators about my school. It was a real honor to do that. Another memory was enjoying my high school career with my friends. It was a real great experience. The best memory was when we all would play football with each other, and go out to eat. It was really fun, and I’m glad I experienced it; all the great laughs were cool, and fun. Last, I would like to leave knowledge. School is very important, so take it seriously.

Khalif, Risalo

I, Risalo Khalif, leave Ms. Sechrist a haircut. To Ms. R, I leave a copy of the song “Call me, Maybe”. To Ms. Kelly, a piece of my African heart. To Mr. W, I leave more fun in the garden and finally to Mrs. Lauber, I leave more books for her library.

King, Jordan

These past four years of my life have been very challenging and life changing; each year has helped me become the individual I am today. The people that have helped me through those horrible days are my close friends, and amazing teachers. Someone I would like to thank in particular is Mrs. Bennett. Mrs. Bennett, I will always remember the days I felt like I was falling apart, and you were there for me. I honestly don’t know how I would have got through the struggle of my injury, and losing almost everything senior year, without you there I would have probably fallen apart. Secondly I would like to thank Alyssa Cisneros and Zoë Thomson. These girls have helped me realize things about myself, and helped me improve as a person, and I love you J Last but not least I want to thank the one woman that has been there since I was two years old, and that is my Mom. Thank you mom for being there through the two year old tantrums, the all times I asked “Why?” and through the emotional roller coaster of a teenage girl. Thank you for motivating and making me become the strong independent woman I am today. Thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I thank God for you and without you I wouldn’t know what I would do.

Knowles II, Stephen

My entire life has been spent thus far on school. So throughout my school life I have learned many things which I wish to share. I also have many things like titles and warnings. The first thing I wish to leave is knowledge. School is important. This being said many people strive to be the best in extracurricular activities or to be the best academically. Don’t let things get in the way of school. Even if you are the best quarterback ever it means nothing if you don’t graduate. Have fun but get your work done. Next I wish to leave a warning for next year’s seniors. The teachers like to have fun as much as you, to a certain degree at least, but will still be very strict and want you do as

Page 26: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

they ask. To my lowerclassmen I wish to leave the knowledge that slacking, though it is easy and you feel the classes are a waste, is a horrible idea. Why put off tomorrow what you can do today. In the school I have earned the title of second best duelist, maybe I’ll be champion before I graduate, and this title I wish to leave to those that are staying. I have watched many duelists grow in school and of them there are three that might be staying that are good candidates. First is Anthony if you stay you will end up champion unless Cheli clames it from you. Then for my position I leave to Cheli with NaJee as a close second. Last I wish to leave my memory to those who wish to keep it. Remember the fun, remember the laughs and remember the accomplishments.

Lopez, Jose

High school teaches you a lot from all your years, from heart breaks to dishonest friends, to education. Everything changes once freshmen year comes around. If you thought middle school was a walk in the park wait for junior year when you really need to focus on what’s out of high school. They say the year people mostly mess up on is freshmen, I disagree. Any year can throw you off; it’s all in the dedication you put in, in your school work. As a senior you start looking back at your four years, they’re some that wish they could go back and do things different and others that wouldn’t change a thing. Moving forward is always where your mind is supposed to be. Never put your education aside, love is always going to be there, friends will too, but you wouldn’t want to graduate late with a different class. You want to say you did it on time, all the hard work, sleepless nights, and frustration will pay off. Respect your teachers, they give homework and do what they do for a reason. They are preparing you for the future. Once you’re out of high school you’re on your own. No one is going to be on your back trying to tell you what to do. All your decisions made here determine your future. It will be your decision to take my advice, as someone who’s went through all of it in the past four years I can say it was a good trip. Enjoy it, just make sure your grades are at point and you’re putting in effort in all your assignments, it will pay off in the end, I promise.

Lopez, Leonella

Starting high school, I felt extremely introverted. After these four years of school and IB, I take those feelings back. It’s amazing how fast the years go by. I leave my senior will to the Class of 2013. To my parents: I hope I’ve made you as proud as you wanted to be when this time would come. I’ve worked hard not only to please myself, but to make you happy and aware that I’ve grown up a lot. I hope you continue to encourage me on all my endeavors, and my enrollment at CSU. To my sister, Isabella: You have no idea how big of an inspiration you are to me. I don’t want to believe that I’ve surpassed you in anyway; I want you to know that part of my victory is yours as well. I love you so much and I’m so glad you’re back with mom, dad and I. To my T-Bird Singers and Ms. Hayden, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the family I needed through this difficult year. You’ve comforted me so many times, and I finally felt as if I was worth something in the risers with you all. Thank you, Ms. Hayden, for the opportunity to participate in such a family, and for loving me just as much as my parents would. To Monica, Shelby, Adrian, Marissa, Kim, John, Catie, Brett and Tatiana: I really have no words to express how much you mean to me. All of you are the main reason why I’m afraid to let go. I know we’ll see each other again, but it’s hard to let go nonetheless. Hopefully I can tell you all in person how much you mean to me one day. Thanks to the teachers of Hinkley. See you later.

Martinez, Angel

From my first steps into high school to my last, I have made so many unforgettable memories. Throughout my high school journey I have met so many people and had so many experiences that I will never forget. To my parents Irma Pacheco and Elmer Martinez: I, Angel Martinez, give away my gratitude for always being by my side when no one else was and for getting me refocused when I got off track, friends are temporary and family is forever, I love you. To my teachers who pushed me to do my best and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself: My teachers have made a special place in my heart because they demonstrated that they actually care about my success. They opened my eyes and made me realize the great work I am capable of doing and I am thankful for that. To my

Page 27: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

friends: I am glad we experienced this journey together and I would not change that. So many hilarious moments that we have had and you will forever be remembered and never forgotten. To Karla Ramos: who was a big positive influence on me, I honestly don’t think I would have made it without you. You helped me change my negative decisions into positive and I can’t thank you enough for that. I think we met for a reason because you’re not only my girlfriend but also my best friend. To all the seniors I congratulate you and wish you the best in the future. This experience is a once in a lifetime. Our high school journey was a challenge but we worked hard so we deserve this. 2013 students should be proud of their accomplishments and only good days are ahead.

Martinez, Cindy

The past four years have been a real eye opener for me. I have learned many things about myself, some things being good and others not so much. For instance, I have learned that I am not as good in math as I once thought I was. I have also come to figure out that I am a huge procrastinator and that it can come back and bite me in the butt, so I should try breaking that habit before college. There were many good things as well. I’d like to thank Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Bicknase, Mrs. Gilliland, and finally Mr. McDermott for helping me learn, that all though teachers may at times seem strict and a bit unfair, if you get to know them, you will be surprised to find out that they can be pretty great people and really care about you and your future. I also learned that I am actually pretty great when it comes to picking friends. I have come to find that my closest friends aren’t just those who I share a few laughs with, but those who I can go to for anything. For this I’d like to thank Jennifer Perez, America Elias, Connie Trujio, Julian Meza, Maria Rosales and Cynthia Molina for being there for me, whether it was helping me through hard times or just good giving me a good laugh, you guys are great people and I know you’ll will go far in life. Finally I’d like to thank Gabriel Guzman, not only has he been a big part of my life through these past years, but he has also shown me that although people sometimes mess things up or don’t get things right the first time around, you shouldn’t give up because the second time is in fact the charm.

Medina, Crystal

Senior year has been really long and stressful, but now that we've come to the end of it, we start realizing we are on to bigger and better things. We leave behind memories of joy, sadness, disappointments, anger and achievements. Quiero empezar con mis papas, quiero agradeserles por siempre apoyarme en todo. Siempre an estado ahi en mis buenos y malos momentos. Les dejo mi corazone. Gracias, Los quiero mucho. To my great beautiful friends Marianan, Cynthia, Joselinne and Gena for always showing me who my true friends are. Mariana for all those adventures we have had, I've love each and every one no matter how bad or good they were. I’m glad I have a best friend like you, because honestly if it wasn’t for you my high school years and weekends would be boring. I love you. I leave you the keys to my car. To Jesus, thanks for always putting up with my weirdness and for always being their when I needed someone to talk to. You’re a great friend; I leave you my bad attitude. You need it! I also want to thank my teachers for giving me help when I needed it. Keep sharing your knowledge with your new students. And to class of 2013, WE MADE IT!

Medina, Stephanie Perry

2013. I graduate this year, I turn 19 this year, WOW, I’m old! I remember through my years I spent in high school I have grown. I would like to leave the memories of our endless talks about the most randomest (I don’t even think that’s a word) things to Jadeline, P.S I’m sorry for always beating up your locker. I’ll like to leave the mugs and smiles my TayTay(Taylor) and I would make to every other everyday during Mrs.Harris class. I would like to leave the dangerous trip that took us an hour to get to a club that was only 2 miles away because she’s the most dangerous driver ever, I’m surprised she got her licenses lol jk to my friend Jennifer “Don’t be talking like me” *in Juan’s voice*. I just want you three to know that I love you, I’ll miss you all and thank you for making my senior year the best year of my high school life. For my teachers, Mrs.Harris, Ms.Boll, Ms.Kline, Mr,Hubble And Mr.Hayle I would like to thank you all for always being patient with me while my last months of high school, I

Page 28: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

know it was stressful but you all have helped me a lot. And a word of advice for the underclassmen, I would like you all to know the reality of high school. It is nowhere near “high school musical” it is cruel, people will push you while you are walking to class, they will walk as slow as possible in front of you because they are selfish, you’re teachers will give you a lot of homework but only if you don’t complete it in class, there will be people who will try to pressure you to do things that you will know are wrong but let me tell you, You are in high school for a reason ONE important reason and that is to do all you’re work and get you’re credits to get the heck out of there to start you’re real journey in life. And I can’t say it’s going to be easy because it’s not, it’s going to be hard, it’s going to test your abilities to see how strong you are, and I know you will make mistakes because we all do but just know that you’re schooling would only take 4 years out of your possible 100 years of life, Believe in yourself and anything will be possible, And have a A-ku-na-ma-tata life :D

Melero-Arroyo, Daniela Alicia

Wow already huh? After 11 years of anxiously waiting for that piece of paper that should open many doors me. Finally, I find myself counting down the days before I can have my diploma in my hands . The one I’ve long awaited. To all my teachers thought my high school years a special thank you , for all the nagging about turning in my work on time , but what can I say I’m a procrastinator ( I hope I can change this bad habit before college) To all my Great friends thank you for all the great laughs and talks we’ve all had. You will all have a special place in my mind and heart. Thank you for being there these past 4 years of my life. To the underclassman I can only leave you a word of advice and I hope you guys can apply it . Do NOT for any reason Fool around your first three years of high school. These years are the most important, then your senior year won’t be as stressing as they say it is . Well goodbye High school hello “real world”. See you NEVER jajaja

Nevarez, Jacquline

It's hard to believe it's time to go separate ways already, when yesterday we were only freshmen. My BFF Hallagin, I leave you all my visits, my whining, and my obnoxiousness, you still love me though, don’t you dare forget about me. JenniCakes VanGundy, I leave you our fights, my obnoxious yelling, my tardiness for being at CCA, walking out of class with Maria, and my green chili with milk, of course. Nickoloff, I leave you all those silent treatments I gave you, the times I didn't want to read Hamlet, and the banana in your drawer. Ms. Kline I leave you my daily visits to your office, our long chats, and warm hugs. Lopez I leave you the memories we have built since freshmen year in Aurora Lights, always coming to your class and asking for passes. Bennett and Schreck I leave you my tardiness, yet huge commitment to NHS. Ona I leave you my man-handling, our daily fights in LIGHTS, my punches and my hugs. Maria I leave you our gossiping, our slacking in class, fighting with Ona, and walking around the halls. Moises I leave you my craziness and all the great times we had. Jazmin I leave you with so many memories, good and bad. Our fights, our laughs, our cries, I’ll always be here for you. Lorena, I leave you the sister you never had, the times I would sing to you "Me dejaste abrasada de un poste", and all my confidence in you and encouragement. Aurora Lights students, I leave to you great opportunities and huge shoes to fill next year, from all of us. Hinkley High School, I leave you my multitude of achievements I have achieved thanks to all the opportunities you offered me.

Noltemeyer, Raphael

For me, Raphael Noltemeyer, as an exchange student, my senior year was an awesome experience. I want to thank all my teachers. I would like to thank Mrs. Norrgard for the wisdom of math, Mrs. Kaplan for teaching me the important language Chinese. I would also like to thank Mrs. Boll for the funny physics class, Mrs. Elliot for the really enthusiastic history lessons, and Mrs. Harris for helping me to improve my English skills. And I also want to thank Mrs. Price for her inspiring design class. Being a part of the musical ''Little Shop of Horrors'' as a huge honor for me and I had a lot of fun participating, so I also want to thank all the cast-members and especially Mrs. Palko and Mrs. Hayden for giving me this chance and for giving their best for that show. At last but not least I want to

thank all my friends at Hinkley High. We had a lot of fun together. I would like to give the freshmen, sophomores and juniors advices, but I can't really do that, since I did only spent one year on an U.S. high school.

Ortiz Perez, Alan

Congratulations class of 2013. It has been an amazing 4 years shared with you guys. From my teachers to classmates, to every memory shared. I want to start by giving thanks to all the teachers and staff that had to put up with me throughout the years, starting with Mrs. Bennett. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be in your class for one day, and allowing me to come in and bother you ALL the time! Mrs. Inez thanks for teaching me how to never give up on what I want and showing me that life moves on. Mrs. Ilela for putting up with my schedule changes throughout the entire years. Aside from all the teachers, my friends have been a huge part of high school. Can’t forget my girlfriends, Eddie and Roberto, all the crazy memories we have had since freshmen year till this day. To Victoria, you are a great person even through our hardships, I wish you and Robert the best, take care of my baby. To Maria, you’re the best, and you’re a great athlete, you’ll do great in college. We’ll miss you when you leave. To Eddie, we finally made it after these four great years spent with you as my best friend. Thanks for all the support you gave me through all my hardships. I love you man. To Connie, four years in the process, we’re finally here. Thanks for everything you have done for me in my senior year. And to all those people that I did not mention, thanks for everything. I will miss the class of 2013.

Pasquale, Dominick

Well we all knew this day was coming the long day of happiness. There are more memories from the school year, than anything out there. Andrew V: remember when we hung out and were picking on people or making Bobanlina? Jordan A: the times where priceless when we found out the new information about Sis, and how we reacted about it. Cory C: How we had all those times cracking jokes at people who sit at the lunch table. Cody C: All I have to say is that you are a great friend. How we joked around about everything and about Big Yeller. Shannon L: there are so many thoughts I have had; so many that I can’t name them all. You are my greatest best friend. One of the many great friends that I will never forget. EVER.I still remembers how we meet. How I threw an empty milk carton at yo face. Little sister Jasmine A.: You have helped me through SSOOO much that it’s not even funny, and how I did the same for you alike. Through thick and thin, hail and shine, and from bad to worse, we have helped each other. And for that I thank you.

Perez, Rocio

Graduation finally came, Yay!!! But High School has been tough and I thank you all who helped especially my Music Program friends. Out of all of you there’s a few I’d like to acknowledge. First I’ll start with my family who made it harder on me at times I’ll still thank. Mom and Dad, I want to thank you for being supportive of my education. Verenise I thank you for giving me some lessons on life and responsibility. Little Addamari I thank you for your joyfulness. I give you all a graduation picture so you can never forget my success. Now my favorite teachers, Dr. Ball I thank you for expanding my knowledge in music and helping me to become a good musician and person. Mrs. Harris I thank you for giving me important life lessons and leading me in the right directions even when you didn’t know it. I give you both one of my graduation photos so you can always remember me and know that you helped me. Last but not least, my BFF’s; Susana and Martha I thank you weirdo’s for always being there and keeping my spirits high. I give you a trombone pin and my happiness so you never stop making music. Hip Hip Hooray for class of 2013!!!

Pierre, James

Hey my name is James aka slim. You probably don’t remember me, but I am the funniest man in Hinkley high school. I would like to say what’s up to my fellow t-birds. Hinkley is an amazing school, but also can be strict as well. Hinkley is pretty chill though. I would like to leave five items behind so my fellow t-birds can use them to be great as me I’m joking. These things ill like to leave are my black rosary, my black air forces, and my grey and purple vans, my Hinkley sweater, and last but not least my Hinkley chain. My rosary is my most important item out of these five items because I had for three years, an old friend of mine that went to Hinkley but now he has graduated. I’m leaving this rosary and I hope someone will carry it out for me and live it on through Hinkley. New students all I can say is have fun at Hinkley high school I’m telling you this school is crazy if you know what I mean. Watch out for security guards they be tripping sometimes. My brothers that are coming here don’t get into any fights or any trouble. My fellow t-birds enjoy Hinkley high school.

Preciado, Evelin

When I first stepped foot into this building the students here seemed very peculiar in my eyes. After a few weeks and months I came to learn that most of us were setting self-standards for the sake of satisfying or perhaps dissatisfying pre-conceived notions set upon us by the media. Truth is we are still filled with aspirations that go against and beyond those notions. I learned through these years that once you learn how to become “ugly” and free that you stop feeling as if you are stuck in your own body and mind shaped by those externalities. I also learned from my history teacher Mr. Bergen that we (everyone) are all hypocrites which I came to realize and accept is a great attribute to have. In the words of Timothy Leary, “You’re only as young as the last time you changed your mind.” I also developed a strong feeling and connection towards the environment and came to learn that when you are feeling lost or in doubt to simply tune out of mother culture and tune into Mother Nature. That is all. Take care and trod on this earth as if your feet are kissing the ground.

Quijada, Andy

There are not a lot of artifacts I want to leave behind so that other can have it (because I didn’t had any possession to give away, other than my work). All I have to give the people of this school are thanks and word of wisdom (if anybody cares to know). To my teachers, I give thanks to you all for the help and kindness you have shown to me. Hence, I will miss you guys when I am out of high school and into the “real world.” Over all, though, I am glad I don’t have to endure another year in this prison (I hope). For all future student (and current student), Stop being a careless know it all brat! To my sister, who you may know as Izzy, I leave you all my belongings that I haven’t use this school year; paper, pencils, binders, and all the stuff I don’t want any more. For your information, I understand the need to complain about every little problem in their life to “get it out of our chest.” How some ever, you better think how the situation is your fault before you point fingers at anybody you hate or is just happen to be there to blame.

Rino, Gena

I can’t believe that this is the end of my wonderful four year is gone so fast. It was just last year that we were just freshmen’s. I want to say thanks to everyone, I know for making my high school years, be so wonderful. I will treasure the friendships I made all four years here at Hinkley High School, and the memories that were created here. I would like to leave some advice. The only thing you need to take serious is your classes. High school is a place to experience pretty much everything. When it comes down to it, the only important thing is graduating, and being late to classes will not help you get there. I will remember so much but I will never forget this. Time it was my birthday week, Josseline, Meli, Joseeline, Cynthia, and Mariana. We had a cake fight during our ninth grade year in the lunch room during 7th period. Lol good times :) I will miss all the memories and the fun times. I will miss Octavia all the fun moments in class on the way to classes. And thanks for always being there for me. I hope I was like a

good to you as you were to me. You’re my sister from another mother. Josseline you are the most difficult person to add into my will, probably because I want it to be something astounding. I love you so much and will miss you more than you will know. You are my sister, best friend! I leave you amazing years we filled with excitement, accomplishments, love, friends, and fun. No Regrets! And to my lovely Family and my boyfriend Edwin that help me getting to this point that I’m now. Class of 2013 we did it!

Rivera-Lopez, Isis A.

For me, as for most of my classmates, high school was full of unprecedented moments—things that have shaped the person I am today and that will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. It taught me how to cram one year’s worth of study in two days, how to finish huge projects a night before they were due, how to be a better person, but most of all, it taught me how to become more aware of the world around me. Throughout these four years my view on life has changed significantly. It was through the countless events that marked our high school career, that I became aware of my passion for environmental and social issues; now my resolve to make a change even if it is just in our community is stronger than ever. One of the biggest things I have learned is that we shouldn’t be discouraged by the violence, inequality, racism, corruption, etc. found in our world. If we really want to see a change, we need not wait to see what others do in order to take action. So if there’s a situation you deem unjust, then voice your opinion! My second piece of advice would be to stay true to your own convictions and live the life you have envisioned for yourself, not the one others have created for you. As if we didn’t already live under stressful enough conditions within this society, why add more pressure by trying to achieve unrealistic goals placed upon us by others and feeling like we need to measure up to their expectations? As long as we consider our feelings, needs, and ideals when making decisions, we need not think of ourselves as inadequate or fear failure. Good luck class of 2013! Rosales, Maria

I have had a wonderful time at Hinkley High School and it is hard to believe this time is coming to an end. There are many people I want to thank, but I would like to share my closest ones. First of all I want to thank Mr. Lopez, my aurora lights coordinator. He has there for me through thick and thin since my freshman year. He would give me advice and stick with me all along. Along with that, I have put up with ups and downs with a lot of people but I mostly want to thank my closest friends that have been there for me since day one and have never stepped away from my side Victoria Valladolid, Eddie Simental, Alan Ortiz, America Elias, Connie Trujillo Beas, and Cindy Martinez. Also, I want to thank two of my coaches Mr. Nickoloff and Marcos, there the reason why I kept playing soccer and because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have gotten a scholarship for soccer at Kansas. I very much thank them especially for pushing me to where I am right now and succeeding to what I really want in life. Overall, my four years of high school were the best. I never thought that through everything I would become a stronger person and become the person who I am right now. For all the underclassmen, all I can say is to stay strong and you guys can succeed to your dreams.

Rosario, Wilbert

My name is Wilbert Rosario, I am an Aurora lights student and I take IB classes. Some of the people consider me to be intelligent, especially when I say that I am taking HL Calculus. However, I always say that I am not intelligent or smart, not because I want to be humble, rather because is the truth. I am just another student at Hinkley who is just looking forward to college. As it turns out I am soon to go to college and I would like to leave something behind. I won’t leave money, art work or even a legacy. I want to leave an ideology, a belief. I want to let everyone know that intelligence is not something you are born with, nor it is a gift from god. Intelligence is the knowledge gain by practice and experience. Knowledge comes from failure, knowledge comes from challenging yourself. Albert Einstein once said, "It's not that I'm so smart; it's just that I stay with problems longer." So don’t give up on a problem, work on it day and night; and I promise you that intelligence will be your big reward.

Rosema, Mira

For my Senior Will I would like to leave all my great advice and smart ways to all the underclassmen. I want them to know that times may get hard, but I know they can get through anything; they need to believe in themselves and work hard toward their goals. I know they are smart and bright-they just need to apply it to their lives. I don’t really know a lot of underclassmen, but I know that if they are motivated that they will become successful in everything they do in life. I would leave my awesome and famous restaurant and can’t forget the move we made joking around to one of my favorite buddies, Jordan Abramson just because he’s a cool person to be around. I very much enjoy his company. I see him as being the life of a party. I would also like to leave Jordan all my great comebacks and jokes allowing him to be an extra funny guy! Now for all of my teachers at Hinkley I would like to leave a little of my cheerfulness. I will leave some of my laughter in hopes it will make them laugh. To my favorite teacher, Mr. Trumble, I would like to leave him our funny moments we had in class and around the school that made us laugh and made our day better. Congratulations to the Class of 2013!

Sandoval, Victoria

I, Victoria Sandoval leave to all underclassmen the right to hate waking up so early in the morning to go sit through hour long classes, doing things you will never be required to actually do in real life after high school- or college at least- unless you become a teacher, well then...yeah. I also leave to everyone my amazing abilities to overcome little obstacles, such as people not liking you or presenting in front of people who most of the time don’t care what you’re saying, but making you nervous anyway, and the ability to look like you know what you're doing (when you really don't). Can't forget the great ability to make a joke out of anything (almost anything) just because! Seriously, humor will get you through these four years, or five.. Ha! To my friends, I leave the power to fight against procrastination! To my close friends, I leave my faith in Jesus Christ, that they will one day find the right kind of unfailing and unconditional love.. Let’s just say, it's never ending! To my friend Eduardo, I leave all my great memories of our very Mexican talking and jokes! Pop* good luck to you and I hope you are successful in everything you do! To next year's seniors, say NO to Senioritis! Make the best out of the next few years. Time goes by so much faster than you think. Don't let the little things get in your way. In the end, all you will remember is the good times. Remember that your hard work will be worth it, and never forget that tomorrow is a new day, and with a new day comes a new opportunity! To the upcoming seniors, I say; Good Luck Ya'll!!

Scales, Destiny

All four years of high school weren’t as bad as some people’s. It wasn’t the best either, it was mutual. Over the course of time I’ve learned the difference between having time and deadlines, having associates and being friends, and putting responsibilities before having fun. I had to learn the hard way before I actually applied the right things in the right places. I want my younger sister Daylia to know this. So for her I leave more advice, to focus more on getting through with the classes necessary to graduate now, than putting it off for later high school years. Letting irrelevant things around school and even at home get to you shouldn’t stop you from doing what you have to do at school and in class. I know it’s hard sometimes to put all those troubles and things to the side but when you do later on you’ll realize what good it does to know you don’t have to make up for it later. To Ms. Annette I leave my new phone because she really needs a new one. I leave our memories of dancing every time we see each other in the hallway to Tyree Davis. Tyree ended our intension from the day we fought with a dance and that’s just how it’s always going to be. I leave to my lovely wife Caresse our happy times and laughs that I’ll truly miss when we leave for college. And finally I leave to psychology teacher Mr. Hubble the nickname Mr. Hubble Bubble. Every time someone ones calls you it think of all the hard times I gave you about natural grain bars and completing my class assignments.

For my senior will I would like to talk about my experiences during my high school year at Hinkley High school. I have made a lot of friends these past 4 years, and made a lot of memories with them. There are so many memories that have been made at this school its almost hard to keep track. Another good memory that I have is my junior year. Right after lunch I would walk my best friend to her 5th period class. When we got there me and Gladys would always count how many cute people we saw before the bell rang and she had to go into class. What was funny was Gladys’s teacher would always come out of her class room and ask us: “so what number are you guys on this time?” my freshman year I remember asking my crush to homecoming and she said yes and how happy I was. A words of wisdom for freshman: don’t slack off it may be fun but it will ruin you. Don’t ditch, it’s easy not to go to class but you will work your butt off catching up in the long run.

Serrano, Karen

My four years at Hinkley High School have gone by too fast. When I was in middle school and we had high school students talk to us, they weren’t lying when they said that high school will pass by in the blink of an eye. As a freshman, I came into high school very insecure and scared; my first year wasn’t enjoyable. It wasn’t until my sophomore year that I actually became involved in high school. I auditioned for West Side Story and then girls’ soccer. Junior year, I participated in National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, and the following musicals: Fiddler on the Roof and Little Shop of Horrors. It was then I learned that high school is what you make it; it is better to get involved because you get to meet new people, and you are able to escape the academic side of high school. I couldn’t have survived high school without my best friend, Monica Shavers; she has been there for me ever since the sixth grade. I also couldn’t have survived without Jesus Escalante, who has reminded me of homework and has supported me endlessly. I also couldn’t have survived without Valeria Martinez, Connie Trujillo, America Elias-Martinez, Richard Medina, Ona Kola-Kehinde, and countless more. High school has been a long journey and now I can’t wait to start another new journey once I’m in college.

Serrato, Gloria

It's hard to believe that four years of high school have passed. It's been an incredible journey with good memories, mistakes, and lessons learned. As I leave this chapter of life behind, I'd like to take a moment to give thanks to all my friends: thank you for all those time we met up in the hallways to make our trips to K-mart, Wendy's, and Burger King. Special Thanks to the girl that has stuck by my side through the years, Dalianna Perez. I leave you my memories and I want you to know that no matter what, I'm here for you. To my loving Family: I give you my diploma. I hope I have made you proud. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you. For all my teachers: thank you for your time, patience and dedication in teaching, special thanks to Mrs. Harris because after everything she has taught me what it means to be strong and for taking all my late work. To all the seniors I congratulate you and wish you the best. I am glad to be part of the 2013 class, remember this is not an ending; this is the beginning of a new chapter in life.

Setik, Sammy

Why do I have to leave ya’ll young bucks, well Salomon since you’re my best freshman baller I leave you with waves but your wave hair are fresh on the court though. I can easily find you on the court with them fresh waves. Just by your hair I feel like going back to the island and surf with them big waves, but truly your cool and one of my best friend in Hinkley. My sophomore friends, the island boys yeah the island boys, I leave ya’ll my skirt that’s what they call it here but for us it’s called a lavalava! You guys are the best; with ya’ll I feel like I’m home. Without you guys by my side how can I even survive here in Hinkley High School? The Marshall boys, I leave ya’ll my skills of basketball, LOL. You guys are good at ball, just keep working hard and play hard. The Thongen boys, I ya’ll my Guam flag so ya’ll can know where I’m from. You guys come in my mind as one word, “brothers”. Your big man, ya’ll Samoans are beast at everything. I know you hate it when people confuse you as a Hawaiian not a Samoan. Milivi: the Tonoas pride. My sister, you mean a lot to me like a lot. It’s funny how you say you’re

Page 34: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

from here not from the islands will you’re from the islands. We the same island, so I leave you with my island because you’re from my island. Maroon straight up all the way, tonoas pride we lift up nothing else. Hinkley high school I leave ya’ll my pride for being a islander and the best islander in Hinkley.

Shavers, Monica

As the past four years have passed, one thing comes to mind when I think about high school, and that is what have I become? I have become a strong, and independent young woman thanks to the help of my very supportive and helpful mother who’s dealt with everything I’ve thrown at her for the past four years. I have become a determined and motivated student through the help and care of B-Dawg aka Mrs. Bennett, who has never failed to show me support in every endeavor I have ever attempted, It’s one thing to have a good teacher but it’s another to have a good teacher that actually cares so I thank her deeply for everything she’s done. I have become a well-rounded, appreciative person thank you to my cheer sisters, well the ones that have stuck around at least (you know who you are), thanks for sticking through the rough times and never fully giving up on the team, we’ve come a long way and I’m excited to see where things take you next year. Last but not least I have become everything I am thanks to my best friend. Without her by my side to keep my head screwed on straight I wouldn’t be half the person I am today. She’s been my backbone for almost seven years now and there’s no one I could imagine that I would rather have right there, through the trials and tribulations high school has thrown at us we’ve never given up on each other and although we’re going to different colleges I’m sure a best friendship like this will make it through. So a big thank you to Karen Serrano for being the greatest best friend of all time.

Simmons, Lenaya

When I leave this year, I want to leave everything I’ve ever learned to those younger than me. First, never fall in love with your best friend. Also, don’t think it’s okay to be friends with your best friend’s ex…it’s not. Be sure to take as many pictures as you can because when the time comes and you have nothing to remember your memories by, you feel kind of empty. Take chances! Smile, laugh, and cry! Do whatever you have to do to enjoy your time because no matter how much you hate it then, the end will come and you’ll cry…trust me.I give all my thanks to the teachers who have been there for me. You are what we need to prepare kids for the future. Without you guys, I can’t even say if I’d be here typing this now. Thank you for making me smile and laugh even on my worst days. Thank you for having faith in me. Thank you for your patience and kindness. It will be you all I’ll have to thank years from now when I’m successful because without you, I wouldn’t know anything that I know today. To my best friend Ariana, I leave all our memories including those that were spent with Good Times fries in our cars. Even though you won’t be on that stage with me, I love you and know that you’ll be something one day. I leave to you all the hours that were supposed to be spent in class and all those summer nights. I leave my friendship which is never ending. To Tristan I leave my smile, because I know it’s your favorite, and all the happiness in the world. I leave to my family my love. Thank you for your continuous support.

Takele, Eden

With the passing of high school, I’ve come to acquire a few possessions; some tangible, others not. But there is only one thing that I’d like to leave with all the students, graduating or not: faith. Faith in yourself, faith in others, faith in the world. Have hope that everything will turn out alright, because it usually does. Work hard now to reap the rewards later. To underclassmen, have faith that you can be successful, whether that means being the first in your family to receive a high school diploma or the only one of your friends to hold a Temple Run 2 high score. To the juniors, have faith that you can make it past your senior year. You’ve come this far, don’t give up on that final stretch. Remember that it is always darkest before the dawn. The hard times are coming to an end sooner than you think. Keep up the good work and end the year with an iron fist. To the teachers: have faith that what you try to inspire unto your students is working. We may take you for granted now but years from today we just might realize that you were some of the only people to truly believe in us. And finally, to the graduating seniors. Have faith that

Page 35: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

you can succeed. Whether or not you know what’s coming your way over the next few years, have faith that you can do it. Past trials and tribulations, I can honestly say that we have grown, both physically and mentally. Thank you seniors, it has been quite the ride, but I think this is our final stop. Congratulations Class of 2013, we have finally made it.

Terrazas, Manuel

I leave all of my laughs to all of my Friends that are going to graduate as class of 2013. To all those that have been here with me since we started at Hinkley. All those times we went to Denver to see some people at the 16th street mall. To my cosine Jackie I leave all those memories of the crazy dumb things we did with her car and ask her to be prepared for next year and have fun and to take care of her little brother. I hope that my other cosine Jose stays in school and keep practicing to play in a major league baseball team and to keep those memories of us playing catch. To my teacher I leave all the crazy things I’ve said and done in your classes. Also I leave them my thanks to them for all the support they have given me to pass most of my classes. Then to all my friends that I don’t know if I’ll see again I leave my joy and the times we went out to eat, then leaving in the car and leaving someone there. Also all the times we got made at each other for doing that.

Touch, Kavy

Before I leave my life away from High school, I want to give my farewells and advice to my favorite lower class mate, Huy. Thank you so much for being such a great inspiration for me and a great friend. Even though you are just a sophomore in High School, You already completed so much! Being in theatre and doing plays, doing performances for the whole school and make such a great mark into to Hinkley High School. My advice that I shall give to you is, do not stop doing what you are doing. Keep doing plays, performances because it seems to make you very happy! So do the things that make you happy because great things will come to you in life if you let it. High school can be one of the best years of your life if you want it to be. High school goes by so fast! So enjoy each and every moment of it. Now time to say my farewells to these amazing people that I met here in high school. I have met a lot of amazing and talented people here. Each and every one of you were so kind and funny to me. All the jokes we said like “yo momma” or…..the rap battles we have had. Those were funny but too bad to talk about on here. A good person I want to tell farewell too, is Ona whose last name I can’t spell. Ha-ha you are a good looking guy who has everything! You’re amazing! I leave you with my personality. Edgar I leave you with my muscles because you need that! Oswaldo I leave you with my hair because it’s cooler than yours! But for everyone, I leave you with my spirit! Advice is GREAT!

Trenn, Harmonie

You stood by me regardless, through good times and bad, and I will leave with a never-ending amount of memories that will carry with me to college. For you “Twittle Dumb”, the many nicknames you have for me will give you thousands of memories we have made. My mindset and courage I leave to my Gabbie, to keep going and never give up because you have the ability to do anything you wish to do and when you have questions or just want to talk, your “strawberry shortcake” will always be a phone call away. I wish to leave my love, passion, positive attitude, skills and abilities for cheer to my upcoming 2013-2014 captain. I will leave you the endurance to keep going and cheering your heart out when times get tough. A note for Inez Trenn, I gave you the fortitude to keep going with your job and lighten up your mood when no one else can. I will leave to college with memories held in your office and at lunch, wanting them to stay with you especially when those “wonderful parents” come in with attitudes. For my dad, Larry Trenn, I will leave the memories of us going on bike rides and playing badminton in the driveway, however I will always remember the great fun times we have had the past 18 years. To the rest of my family, I will show you that I will make it through college and will be fine on my own. I will learn to support myself and show I’m the wonderful young lady that my mom and dad raised me to be. I wish to leave gratitude to my teachers for helping me through troubles I’ve had in the past.

Trottier, Faith

To Alejandro, I leave all of the laughs we have shared, and the ridiculous inside jokes we have made, and forgotten about. To Javier, I leave the little sanity I have left after Ms. Yeater’s class and all of your mental break downs. To Ms. Yeater, I leave my imaginary gold fish. Please don’t kill it or deprive it of light. To Shelby, Marissa, and Adrian, I leave the jealousy I have of how talented the three of you are, and how proud I am to say I am friends with such gifted people. To Alex I leave you all the squids in the world; you freak. To Mr. Nickoloff, I leave my cats, because I know deep down you secretly love them. They are a symbol of my appreciation for the influence you have had on my life, and the support you have provided for me. To Carolina, I leave you all of my lives in Candy Crush. You have ruined my life with that game, but you continue to brighten my days with your presence. To Mrs. Irons, I simply leave you a hug, because you have brought a great amount of support, and love to me over the past few years. To Jenna, I leave you all of the maps, cardigans, and Anderson Cooper memorabilia that I can find. I also leave you a cat. These things should make your life as incredible as you are. I will deeply miss you all. You all have been my rocks that have gotten me through these past four years. Thank you for that.

Trujillo-Beas, Connie

Four years ago I remember being the underclassmen reading the senior wills, but never crossed my mind that soon enough I’d be writing my own. There were so many memories both good and bad, but I wouldn’t have gone through it alone. A first thanks goes to those teachers that helped me through my journey. BIG thank you to Coaches, Nickoloff and Marcos for being supportive even during this season that I didn’t join soccer. Thank you Mrs. Bennett and Ms.Yeater for being a sweethearts, I will miss you so much. Thank you Mr. Westcott for giving us a hard time with all the work, I know it will benefit me in the future. Lastly, BIG thank you to those teachers that no longer work here, Mr. Clark, Mr. Bergen, and Mr. Gaskell. You guys have inspired me to stand up for what I believe in. Aside from all the teachers, my friends and family were also a great support through these years. There are so many people I can thank, but America and Valeria, Elementary-High school was truly exceptional due to you two. I couldn’t thank you enough. Richard, thank you for being another brother to me, I adore you immensely. Maria and Cindy, classes with you two…..needless to say CHAOS! Jesus, Karen, Marissa, Shelby, and Adrian, you guys were my motivation for theatre, and I will forever cherish those memories. Victoria and Eddie, best of luck in the future, I will miss you guys! Alan, wow, you really have made my senior year one to remember. Thank you for being supportive and never giving up in what could be between us, leading to what we share today. I’ll support you regardless; I know you’ll be a great orthodontist one day. Mom, dad, brothers, I love you thank you for everything!

Valladolid, Victoria

As I leave Hinkley High School I leave behind the fun memories I had with my fellow classmen and underclass men. I retire from the Varsity Cheerleading team and pass down my girly ways and also being the girl coach would always yell at to pin her bangs back. The Many times the Cheerleaders would mimic my accent because I would pronounce a word wrong. To they cheerleaders to come my fellow Latinas to impress the judges with our exotic smile and our precise dancing. To the underclass men, Don’t let those who doubt bring you down, show them and prove wrong and earn respect that way. To Juanita I hope she learns that in life you will meet the greatest people and you will also meet the worst of people. You will have to see past people’s kindness and realize that people might have two sides to them. I leave my managerial position of the boy Varsity soccer team

Wedgeworth, TerryLee

Why would I take all of my awesomeness with me? I plan on leaving it to my spread through my fellow upcoming T-Birds. Why not start off with some words of wisdom and some mediocre advice? The way I became a success in this school is being involved and friendly which means talking to everyone and becoming friends with everyone.

Page 37: Senior Celebration - Print Servicesprintservices.aurorak12.org/wp.../10/hinkley-seniorcelebration2013... · Senior Celebration May 13, 2013; 7 pm ... Leonella Lopez Brianna Maldonado

Not just to the students either, they are what make school fun, but when you are close to the staff it makes school fun and it helps you in the long run because at times you have it easier and things are less stressful. Being involved means joining everything you love. To any clubs you think are fun JOIN them but most of all be involved in any school spirit activities, days and clubs. Be a part of leadership it gives you the up close feel of true fun and true help in the school. I want to leave me with you but obviously I can’t so I’ll leave things that helped make Hinkley my second home. I would like to leave my awesome MC ways to the junior Mac Gabriel and to Ahonsi Ohimai I know you guys are full of energy and love to be in the spotlight give it your all and have a blast doing it. I leave my All League point guard spot to the two upcoming guards in Ahonsi and freshmen Solomon Proctor. I want to leave my leadership advisor Ms. Bicknase to the next group of leaders. I want my school spirit to become a part of everyone each time they get a chance I want everyone to go all out. Last but not least I leave the stage for the next generation to take over.

Wheeler, Octavia If you reading this I am no longer a student at HINKLEY not because I’m dead or anything but I have over grown this land of freshman’s and tardy passes. I’m going to walk across this stage and leave behind something. First of all, I want to leave Gena Rino my hilarious joke because we all know she’s nowhere near funny, but I still love her as a sister. Second, I want to give my mom all the stuff I did in school because we all know how parents like all that sentimental stuff. Third, I want to give my little brother Vincent all my high school smarts and survival skills because he will be a freshman next year. Fourth, I want to give all my weird and funny ways to my classmate Elisa Cruz. We have had a tremendous amount of good times and she’s going to be one of the people that I miss the most. Last but not least, I want leave behind all the drama, tears, stress, sadness, childish ways, and forgiveness to those who I didn’t get along with, was best friends with, and now can’t stand. Life goes on, so all you can do is leave behind the stuff you would love to forget and being mad about stuff that you don’t even remember. I hope all the people have a piece of me to keep close to them or at least somewhere where no one won’t steal it because there is no one like me.

Woolman, Lisa

Each and every one of us entered high school nervous and trying to prove that we fit into this new world. Throughout the years every one of us found different paths. People I knew since kindergarten began dropping out and, people who hated me in past years were now somehow my friends. I can’t leave this school without thanking my friend Mary I have known her since middle school but we have never been this close. John I would like to give you a whoop whoop, thanks for making this year a good one. I will always cherish the time we have spent this year. To you both I give all the memories of the lunches we spent together, prom, and my birthday. You two truly are one of my best friends. Mommy, you helped me more then you could ever know, to you I give a new found respect for your words and teachings. There’s no way I can show what an influence you have made, all I can say is thank you for the support and love you gave. Bozied thank you for never giving up on me and showing me the way to the right path, to you I give a peaceful night sleep knowing I made it. Also high school would have been nothing without Mario. No matter what I did, I could always count on you to make me smile. I want to give you the memories of the lockers we fixed and all the trash we throw. High school was a long but somehow very short journey. I’m going to miss this school and all those people who helped me get out of it. I’m going to keep making you all proud. I’ll see you in ten years class of 2013! WE DID IT.

Zamora, Katherine

I Katherine Zamora leave To Paloma Barcena my camera so you not only remember all the tears we have shed and al l the laughs we have shared along with the laughs that led to more tears. You’re the one who has been there for me and gave me your shoulder to cry on and the one who knows me probably more than I know myself. To

Mariana Del Palacio I leave my super cool sunglasses so you can remember our trip to California when you met the ocean for the first time. It’s also the time when our friendship was our strongest but I’m glad that even though we have grown distant we have stuck together like to cherries on the same stem. To Sheila Jimenez I leave you my bobby pins so your extensions don’t fall out next time we are having too much fun even though “too much fun” isn’t enough for us. To Edith Ramirez I leave Band-Aids so you can put it on all the scrapes you have and will have from all your falls and a driver’s-ED book so you remember to put the car in reverse instead of waiting for it to move by itself. To Xochitl Covarrubias I leave all the little but funniest memories we have shared. To Melissa Gutierrez I leave diapers. Pacifiers, wipes, bottles, and whatever else you may need for the new coming member in your family I wish you good luck. Even though we haven’t shared so much we have grown close. To Cynthia Cordova & Joss Mendoza I leave you all the jokes we made in the library and the time we almost got kicked out because of how loud we were. A Mi Mama le dejo mi diploma como un recuerdo de todo el esfuerzo que ha puesto en mi. Gracias mami por aguantar me todo yo se que no he sido la hija perfecta pero ojala y si estes orgullosa de lo que he logrado.

Zavola, Alfonso

I want to start this off with a big thank you too my mom and dad. You always pushed me to do my best and for that I thank you. I want to thank my grandmother for all those rides home she gave me. I leave my family my diploma as a symbol of or hard work we both did all these four years. To Arturo I leave you a Burger King breakfast sandwhich as a symbol of freshman year and all the crazy stuff we and the crew would do during 1st period.
