At the time, she was also a gymnast, but she chose skating two years later when combining the schedules became too demanding ... Successfully landed a triple Axel at the 2005 U.S. Championships, making her only the second U.S. lady to land the jump in competition; the first was Tonya Harding at the 1991 U.S. Championships – Meissner was only 18 months old at the time ... Age kept her from competing in the 2005 World Championships after she finished third at the 2005 U.S. Championships ... In winning the 2006 World Championships became the seventh youngest woman in the world to do so ...
