One of your top CORE memories: I probably could pick more exotic or quirky stories, but I think my favor-ite memories are just of lots of the really good spontaneous discussions

What trips/retreats did you participate in while in CORE? Camp Orchard Hill (6th and 8th grade), DC Mission Trip, Challenge, Winterblast (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade), and Houston Mission Trip

One of the things I feel like God has been teaching me about lately is encouragement. Specifically, what it can look like for me, given my personality, to encourage others. Some ways the church could pray for me is for wisdom on how to use my time in col-lege, and how many, or what things to get involved with. I know it would be easy for me to fill my schedule, but I want to be open to how Jesus specifically wants to equip me in this season and I really want to prioritize the things that matter.

One of your top CORE mem-ories: My small group actually participating for once and we ended up winning almost every prize. “Sweeeeeeep!!!”

What trips/retreats did you participate in while in CORE? Winterblasts, Challenge, Downey VBS

God has been teaching me how to lead and work well with others. I have held a cou-ple leadership positions over the past couple of years and I’ve found that when I turn to God, my decisions are much easier to make. Pray for uncertainty with the future, especially whether the first semester of college is online or in person.

One of your top CORE memories: It was 9th grade CORE Winterblast. It was the first night and we were already yelled at by the other side’s leaders for having muddy shoes on our side of the cabin. So we were

keen to stay on their good side. About 10 minutes before lights out, one of the senior leaders came over and said, “Calm yourself. Do you understand how sleep works?” After that inspiring speech, he left. We all started laughing at the absurdity of it.

What trips/retreats did you participate in while in CORE? Camp Orchard Hill Retreats, Challenge, Father and Son Retreats, Boys Cabin Retreats, and CORE Hangout Nights

God has been teaching me that He speaks to me through his word. Pray that God’s plan for my life would come into view and that I will be open to it.

One of your top CORE memories: Helping Heather with organizing the youth group to buy color-cor-recting glasses for Nick. It was awe-

some to see all the high school small groups enthusiastically contribute and unite in that act of appreciation. It was an amazing feeling to see everyone smiling as he put them on for the first time.

What trips/retreats did you participate in while in CORE? I have been on three mission trips (two to Washington DC, one to Haiti), one Challenge conference in Kansas City, Missouri, several Camp Orchard Hill Winterblasts, and Summer Retreats

God has been teaching me that it is important to set aside time to intentionally spend time with him and trust him to guide my life where his plan leadsme. Pray that my faith continues to grow so that I am able to be a source of light and life for other people, especially in a different community.
