Business Overview In today’s automobile industry, systems controlled by sensors have become an integral part of safe and secured life, and this has made most electro-mechanical devices more refined and more efficient with their applications. We have set up a separate sensor team in 1995 and started sensor business with electric pressure sensor. We have also started to supply sensors for automotive industry since 2005.

Currently we supply sensors in various applicationsFor power steering system, we supply steering angle sensor, torque sensor and torque angle combined sensor. For transmission, we supply position sensor and Yaw &G sensor for brake and ESC system.For emerging EV/HEV application, we supply current transducer for battery and VR type resolver for EV traction motor and hybrid system.

R&D CapabilityAlthough the development and deployment of a number of sensing technologies are emerging in automotive industry, there are challenges regarding robustness, reliability, quality and cost. We have our own capability to design, develop and produce automotive sensor satisfying these chal-lenges.

Magnet Field Sensing TechnologyWe have rich experience and know how of analysis of magnetic field and its sensing mechanism. Vari-ous projects enable us to build up high accurate analyzing technology of magnetic field and to develop sensing algorithm. Based on this technology, we have expanded our sensor application. For steering angle sensor, we de-veloped our own algorithm and registered design resulting the flexibility in design. For torque sensor, we have our own patent for magnet inducing way and the sensor structure. As a result, we can give additional benefits to customer.

Sensor Products for Green CarCurrent TransducerWe supply open loop Current Transducer to measure current of HEV/EV using programmable hall IC. It is designed to work with a single +5V power supply to cover the whole primary current ranging from negative to positive current and optimized to minimize bus bar effect.

We supply Current Transducer in different types for different applications for Inverter and HDC and for battery pack and BDU (Battery Disconnect Unit).

Resolver Resolver is designed to realize the highly accurate absolute angle measurement and the extremely reliable usability in harsh environmental conditions.

We developed VR type resolver that produces two analog output signals with two phases proportional to sine and cosine of the angle of rotor by detecting a change of air gap (Permeance) between the rotor and the stator.

We apply this resolver to measure absolute position and velocity and apply this to traction motor and transmission of HEV/EV.

Engineering Capability Test & Analysis For analysis, we use the software tools of ANSYS, Mold-flow, e-flow, Maxwell and using 4 types of analysis soft-ware tools, we do mold flow analysis, finite element analysis, structure analysis and thermal analysis combined with MATLAM Simulimk.With this analysis, we can reduce the development time and cost.We have a test lab in R&D center and in this lab, we have equipments to evaluate and verify the proto sample.We have separate test lab in R&D center, and in this lab, we test the functional performance for different param-eters at different environmental conditions, measure the sensor characteristics data, and verify the design, etc. We can also test them at certain temperature and humidity condition when customer requires.

In-House Manufacturing We have in -house production line for precision components like CNC Jig, grinding machine, stamping machine, and molding machine. Especially for automation manufacturing, we have an automation in-house team who empowers us to design automation lines, SMT lines and assembly lines in house, and specially dynamic test lines for sensor by ourselves. With this in-house capability, we can increase the productivity as well as quality by strictly managing the manu-facturing process.

Test Capability We have in -house test & evaluation center dedicated for inspection and evaluation of our product, and to test the general electric performance, environmental material, electrical and mechanical test with more than 20 test-ing and monitoring machines and equipments.To increase the test performance, we set up state of the art equipments including EMP testing equipments, accelerated weatherometer, vibro-chamber, endurance testing device as well as state of the art X ray inspection equipment.
