What is a SensorCare System?

The SensorCare system is an unobtrusive falls prevention system which has been clinically proven to assist in the reduction of falls.

The system allows patients to retain dignity, carers to increase independence and the patients families to have peace of mind that loved ones are under caring hands.

The SensorCare Falls Prevention System consists of a stainless steel pressure sensing bed panel and chair panel which are located beneath the mattress and chair cushion.These panels are attached to a control unit which is placed at a convenient location for the carer to operate.As the patient vacates the bed or chair an alarm sounds from the control unit letting the carer know the patient is at a risk of fall.

Research at Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham

showed that the use of SensorCare:

Reduced the number of falls by 54%

Reduced Hospital stays by 9.8 days for

non fallers.

Reduced the number of incidents by 30%

Increased the satisfaction of both staff

and patients relatives

Clinically proven to assist in the prevention of fallsIndependent Research carried out at the Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham demonstrated the use of SensorCare.

Aims of the project were to reduce the rate of in-patient bedside falls and hospital length of stay.

18 SensorCare systems were loaned and QMC University Hospital undertook the evaluation.

Multiple Zone Paging System PART Multiple Zone PagingMonitors multiple beds/chairs simultaneously. A signal is sent to the pagers to inform the carer which bed or chair is being vacated.Components: A base station that signals a message to 1 alpha numeric pager. Includes a boot and strap for pager (Holders which attach pager to clothing).
