He was featured in the 2010 Whitney Biennial and has been the subject of museum and gallery exhibitions in Tokyo, London, Basel, Brussels, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Aldrich is a keenly self-aware painter, his work is laden with a constellation of literary and cultural reference to painting’s contested, pluralistic history. He resists immediate categorization, instead moving deftly from one style to another with each work.
