  • The Historic Marietta Square and Glover Park is the site of the 32nd Annual Art in the Park Festival held each year on Labor Day weekend. This fine art extravaganza features the Artist Market, representing the best in fine handcrafted works by 175 artists from all over the country. Art displayed during the festival will include paintings, photography, pottery, graphic arts, sculptures, jewelry, woodworking and much more.

Also included in the festival is the Children’s Art Alley, Chalk Spot, and the Monster Mural. A fan favorite is the Marietta CityScape project, a 3D city created by festival guests using recycled materials. This project, along with many other free make-and-take projects will be located in the Children’s Art Alley. Chalk Spot features 3 foot square chalk displays created by young artists and will be on display all weekend long, with proceeds benefiting the Marietta High School Visual Art Club. The 20 foot long coloring book-like Monster Mural features the N. Georgia State Fair attractions and attract artists of all ages.

New this year is the One Piece Project (OPP). Each participating artist will select one work of art - marked with an OPP purple ribbon and when sold, they will donated 10% of the sale to the Inspired by the HeArt Art Show featuring art created by Cobb County students with special needs.

Art in the Park has been repeatedly honored as a Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 event and this year is listed in Sunshine Artist Magazine Top 200 list featuring the best art festivals in the nation.
