Individual Adoration is available in the Our Lady Undoer of Knots Chapel daily
from 8:00am to 8:00pm. The Church will also be open from 8:00am to 11:00pm.
Fr. Chris will be available for Reconciliation on Saturday from 2:30-3:30pm and Wednesday
6:00pm-6:30pm or by appointment.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation for individuals who are curious about becoming Catholic. It is a welcoming atmosphere where you can ask questions and get answers. Our team is here to walk with you every step of the way. This week our tithing will be donated to our Job’s Pence Fund. Job’s Pence Fund was established to offer one-time assistance to our community members that are in need of financial assistance. If you or someone you know from the St. Teresa of Avila community is in need, please contact Fr. Chris, Kris Conrad or Christine Harsh for assistance.
Tithing As individuals we are called to be good and generous stewards with God’s manifold gifts. Tithing is the means whereby we have the opportunity to give thanks to God; with that in mind, the community of St. Teresa of Avila tithes weekly.

Greetings! We are thrilled to have students back on campus after such a long break! Months spent at home with uncertainty about the coming school year have finally passed, and here we are with new and returning Valpo students, hiding smiles of relief beneath their masks. We are all overjoyed to be together again! The school year has already had a great start in August, filled with enjoyable events. Such events have included Ultimate Frisbee and Lawn Games, Bonfires, the first INSPIRE of the year, during which peer minister Lauren Meade gave witness to Christ’s impact in her life, and more! Through these events, students have been reconnecting with each other and encountering Jesus’s Love in a deeper way, learning to live For the Greater Glory of God. Please keep our students in your prayers during these unusual times, that they might have unbreakable spirits. “Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing affright you. All things are passing; God does not change. Patience achieves all things. Whoever has God wants for nothing. God alone suffices.” St. Teresa of Avila, pray for us!

The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana provides food to more than 25,000 families each month through their network of agencies. With the pandemic, the need this year is even greater. They are proud to present the 2020 Hunger Hike which is a two mile walk/run/bike event with proceeds being used to stock the shelves of local pantries and soup kitchens. This year 100% of the money raised by St. Teresa’s team will be given back as credit to be used for Café Manna! So, not only is your $1 providing up to three meals to our neighbors in need, it is also benefiting our own soup kitchen! If you would like to give to this wonderful cause, here’s how you can donate: 1. Visit www.foodbanknwi.org/hike Select our team name, St. Teresa of Avila-Café Manna, under Donation Recipient. 2. Place your donation (checks should be made out to Hunger Hike NOT St. Teresa of Avila) in a SEPARATE envelope labeled Hunger Hike, drop it off at the office or put it in the weekly collection. 3. Participate in the Hunger Hike on Saturday, September 19, 2020! Special guidelines will be implemented to keep all participants safe. TIPS September Winners
What is TIPS? TIPS is an acronym for Thunderhouse Independent Patronage Society which has been in existence since the 1970s and supports the Catholic Student Center. TIPS is a fundraising opportunity for Campus Ministry. It is a way to support them as well as having a chance to win some cashola monthly.
