RCIA Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith? R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) classes have started. They are being held every Monday evening until next Spring at the Easter Vigil. If you are interested, please call the rectory & set up an appointment with Fr. Joe. SEEKING TRUTH BIBLE STUDY AT ST. ISIDORE PARISH A 22 week Bible Study on the Gospel of John is on Wednesday evenings. The first session started on September 13th. We are using Sharon Doran’s Seeking Truth video bible series which has been commissioned by the Omaha Archdiocese. Each week consists of a 45-50 minute video and then small group discussion starting at 6:30pm and ending at 8:00pm. STANLEY ROTHER The Venerable Servant of God, Fr. Stanley Rother, will be beatified on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00am in Oklahoma City. He is the first US-born martyr, born in Okarche, OK. The principal celebrant will be His Eminence, Angelo Cardinal Amato, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Representative of His Holiness Pope Francis. St. Isidore parishioner Delores Wieser, is a cousin to Fr. Stanley. Learn more about Fr. Stanley on line at: http://www.archokc.org/rothercause or http://rotherguild.org. EWTN will air a one hour episode entitled “Fr. Stanley Rother-American Martyr” on Monday, September 18 at 12pm and again on Friday, September 22 at 7:00pm. They will also televise live the beatification of Fr. Stanley Saturday, September 23 at 10:00am and at 11:00pm that night.
GODPARENT KICK OFF 2017 Please join us on Wednesday, September 20, at 7:00pm to kick off the new Godparent year. Meet at St. Bonaventure for praise and worship followed by a bonfire and s'mores in the courtyard. Freshman will get to meet their “Godparents” and learn more about what a fun year we have planned. LIFE CHAIN Sunday, October 1, 2017 is designated as Life Chain Sunday. Help make the Columbus Life Chain a success by joining fellow members of St. Isidore in proclaiming “Abortion Kills Children” St. Isidore church members will be located West side of 33rd Ave to 14th St., all holding uniform prolife signs from 1:00-2:00pm. Signs may be picked up at in the narthex of the church or the Life Chain center located at the corner of 33rd Ave. and 23rd St. Sunday, October 1 after 12:00 noon.
