Established in 1881, the USTA is a progressive and diverse not-for-profit organization whose volunteers, professional staff and financial resources support the singular mission.

The USTA is the largest tennis organization in the world, with 17 geographical sections, more than 770,000 individual members and 8,000 organizational members, thousands of volunteers and a professional staff dedicated to growing the game.

GHTA is the Local Extension of the USTA

USTA Southern is the governing body of tennis and a not-for-profit organization that promotes and develops the growth of tennis in the South. With more than 178,000 members between our nine states of Alabama, Arkansas,Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, we represent the largest section in USTA and account for approximately 25% of the total USTA membership. We support adult, junior and community programming in our states and local community associations through grants, league championships, junior team tennis, NJTL and sectional tournaments.
