Fall is right around the corner, so celebrate the change in season with a free family portrait session at the Southeast Museum of Photography! Our backdrop will be decorated in a fall theme (pumpkins, hay bales, flowers, etc.) so be sure to wear (or bring along) clothing that will complement the scene. As a bonus, kids will have the opportunity to create custom wooden photo frames using a special transfer technique. Sept. 27, 6-8 p.m. Artist's Talk and Reception MAGDALENA SOLÉ: The Mississippi Delta Magdalena Solé's Mississippi Delta is a photographic exploration of the Delta communities in the Deep South, evoking visions of sharecroppers, plantations and the sound of the Blues. The area has a small wealthy gentry and a large impoverished underclass. What is little known outside the Delta is the warmth, resilience, community and family cohesiveness of its people.
