As we move into autumn and the changing of the seasons, this quote embodies the Touchstone spirit, reminding us that change is constant; and if we're not changing, we're not learning or moving forward. National Recovery Month is observed each September and spreads the message that behavioral health is essential to health, prevention works, treatment is effective and people recover. This year's theme: "Join the Voices for Recovery: Speak Up, Reach Out", encourages people to openly discuss - and speak up about - mental and substance use disorders and the reality of recovery. For more information and ways to be involved, visit the Recovery Month website: http://1.usa.gov/1qFUYHC.

National Wellness Week is September 15 - 21, 2014. Visit our website and social media pages for daily tips and information as we detail the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and how they help people build resilience and recover, especially when confronted with traumatic, mental health, or substance use challenges.

Touchstone's Featured ProgramResidential TreatmentTouchstone's Residential Treatment program offers intensive residential treatment services to individuals 18 years of age and older with a serious mental health diagnosis, experience independent living instability, frequent use of community-based psychiatric or crisis services, and who may also struggle with substance use disorders. Around-the-clock treatment services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for 14 residents for up to 90 days. An individualized treatment plan is developed for each resident, tailored to their specific needs, and a variety of groups are offered to assist individuals with specific recovery needs. Residents live in a community setting with other peers, and often foster relationships that last long after program discharge. Community living offers residents the opportunity to develop and maintain independent living skills, engage in socialization, and practice relationship-building and communication skills, important items on the path to recovery. We are pleased to announce the expansion of our Residential Treatment program in 2015! We will now have two locations: Minneapolis and a new Bloomington site. The Bloomington location is anticipated to open in Spring 2015. Click here for information and updates about Touchstone's Residential Treatment program.
