Legal Advice vs. Legal Information There is a fine line between legal advice and legal information. In this session joing us while Megan Pfannestiel explains the difference between the two and what we can give out.

Meet Your Municipal Assistant and Review Unit
Come put a face with a name! You will get the opportunity to meet the OSCA Municipal Assistance and Review Unit and learn how they can assist you.
Court Clerking 101 This session is geared toward newer clerks within the Municipal Divisions with some of the basic day to day tasks.
ELearning Management System The Coordinating Commission for Judicial Education and OSCA are proud to announce the implementation of a new learning management system (LMS). This new system will replace JEWELS and is called the Training Resources and Court Knowledge System or TRACKS. Our goal is to provide access to all court staff in Missouri, including municipal staff, so everyone has access to training opportunities. During this presentation, we will share with you the implementation schedule so you will know when training will be offered and when the new system will be available. We will also demonstrate the following features of the new system: Improved navigation, Customized dashboards specific to your job role in the courts, Improved user interface, and Enhanced supervisor capabilities.
ABC’s of ADA The Americans with Disabilities Act is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with a disability. This session will address barriers experienced by people with disabilities in the court system, such as parking, steps/elevator, doorways, interior accessible route, protruding objects and signage, emergency preparedness, seating, assistive listening devices, interpreters, as well as the courts’ responsibilities to provide reasonable accommodations.
Networking Session Join us in a networking session to get to know your fellow members and the board members! This is the time to pick each other’s brains for new ideas! How many new people will you meet?
Making Diversity Work for You Though study after study shows that diverse teams and work environments are the most high-performing, it can be difficult to under-
stand those who are different from us or have different backgrounds. In many cases, diversity can become an obstacle in a work environ-
ment, instead of a powerful asset. How does an organization begin to leverage their diversity and avoid the many pitfalls? This session will
address these questions, as well as discussing micro aggressions, stereotypes, and appropriate workplace communication around the is-
sues of diversity and inclusion.
Easiest Catch: Don’t Be Another Fish in the Dark ‘Net
You've read the headlines. Unfortunately, the question now is not if your information is going to be accessed or stolen, but when. To in-form the attendees of current developments in the digital underground as well as provide realistic advice for cyber protection, Mark Lan-terman will be discussing recent high-profile cybercrime events, including website breaches impacting courts, law firms, and government agencies. Mark will discuss particularly dangerous types of threats that might affect individuals involving the Dark Web, the Internet of Things, phishing, and Wi-Fi attacks; additionally, Mark will demonstrate the value of leveraging digital evidence and ESI in the courtroom.
Time Management In this session David Runde will discuss time management and ways you can improve yours.
Understanding the New Marijuana Law This session will go over the new marijuana law and give you a better understanding.
TAC Certification This session is for those who need to keep up their TAC certification.
