We are blessed by your presence with us
today. Whether you are a long-time
parishioner, relatively new to the parish,
home from school, or visiting for the
weekend, we are grateful that you have
chosen to worship here at St. Louis
Catholic Church. As Roman Catholics, the
Holy Eucharist is the center of our lives,
and the source or our mission.
Nourished by the Word of God, we strive
to instill family values, promote social
justice, and foster life-long formation in
the Catholic faith. As we work together to
build a community dedicated to living the
Gospel, we commit ourselves to generous
stewardship and the responsible use of
our spiritual and material resources.

Homebound Parishioners If you are homebound, or know someone
who is, and would like a visit from a
priest, please call the parish office and
we will set up a time to have a priest
come for a visit.
Batesville Food Pantry We are in need of extra food to distribute
for the holidays. We need to stock at
least 300 items for each of November
and December. Please help us achieve
this goal. We are asking your church to
provide, by mid October:
Canned fruit, primarily: mixed fruit,
peaches, pineapple, mandarin oranges.
In addition, we are in need of toiletry
items such as shampoo, deodorant, etc.
Thank you so much for helping us to
make the Holidays special for our
neighbors in need!
Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be
held on Sunday, October 6th, from
9:00am to 12:15pm in the Deanery
Resource Center at St. Louis. There is a
$40.00 fee for books and materials. For
reservations call or text Aly at 812-212-

Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for
parents who are having their first child
Baptized. The next class will be offered
on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00pm
in the Deanery Resource Center at St.
Louis. Please call the parish office to
register 812-934-3204.

Feast of St. Francis Pet Blessing Fr. Stan will bless pets on Sunday, October 6th at 1:00pm in front of
church.
Respect Life Donations Members of the St. Louis Respect Life Committee will be collecting donations at
the church exits the weekend of, October 5th & 6th. The proceeds will help fund
various Pro-Life activities in our parish and community. There are no
administrative costs, so 100% of all donations go to the pro-life work.
Adoration Chapel The open hours for the Adoration Chapel are: Sunday – 10:00am, 12:00pm,
2:00pm, 3:00pm; Wednesday—8:00am; Thursday—4:00am; Friday – 1:00pm. If
you are able to fill an open hour, call Christy 812-239-9164.
Pilgrimage - Save The Date Join us on a pilgrimage to The Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana on
Saturday, October 5th. The cost is $35 per person, meals are not included.
Registration forms are available at the parish office. For more information call
Janice Werner 812-932-9200. Registration forms are due no later than noon on
Monday, September 30th.
Church History Class Fr. Stan’s Church History Class will continue Tuesday, October 1st, at 1:30pm in
the Prickel Building. All are welcome!
Pray for America Join us as we pray the Rosary on Saturday, October 12th at 12:00pm at
Weberdings Carving Shop. This nationwide initiative is seeking to get as many
people as possible reciting the rosary to ask for Our Lady’s intercession to heal our
country and return it to holiness. It will involve just 15 to 20 minutes of your time.
Blood Drive St. Louis is sponsoring a community blood draw on Tuesday, October 15th at the
Knights of Columbus Hall in Batesville. Come any time between 12:00pm and

Veteran's Day Celebration In anticipation of St. Louis School's Veteran's Day Celebration, we are looking for
pictures of your military family members! Photos may be emailed to Mrs. Pedersen
([email protected]) or sent to school with your student to be scanned
and returned. Please include name, branch, years served (if known), and who/how
they are related. If you submitted pictures for a past year's presentation, they will
be included! You may email and double check that your service person is included
if you do not remember for sure. Pictures must be turned in by Friday, November
1st to be included in this year's presentation.

Life Chain 2019 Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful activity. People who participate are
committed to stand up against the killing of unborn children. Life Chain will take

Adoration Chapel Summit All committed adorers, substitutes and visitors of the 5 Batesville
Deanery adoration chapels are invited to a summit to celebrate, give
thanks and promote unity amongst adorers. The event will take place
on Saturday, November 30th at St. Louis in Batesville. It will begin
at 9:30am, conclude by 2:00pm and include a talk, Mass, adoration,
lunch, and more. There is no charge to attend. During the months of
October and November, when you sign in for your committed hour at
the chapel, you will have the opportunity to register for the event.

St. Louis School PTO News Coke Codes Keep saving your Coke product caps and codes (look for them inside the box), The
PTO received $125 last year (the program started mid year). Each cap or code is
worth 5 cents to 15 cents.
BOX TOPS are Going Digital Download the Box Top app and scan your receipt from any store within 14 days of
purchase and the rewards will be added to our account. This is a great way for
grandparents to help. Ask them to save receipts, and the kids can scan them. SLS
received $1800 from this program last school year!
