September
Thirty days hath September
April, June, and November
All the rest have thirty-one:
Except February
It has twenty–eight we find,
Unless it’s leap year,
Then it has twenty nine
September
Apples are red, fields are gold
Dandelion heads have grown white and old.
The sun is still hot, but the nights grow cool;
All nature is saying, “It’s time for school!”
October
All of nature puts on a show
In October’s bright blue weather
The hills, the trees a golden glow,
Each leaf a scarlet feather.
November
There’s a chill in the air
The trees are all bare
And the turkey has much to fear,
Why? Because
Thanksgiving will soon be here!
December
I hear a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.
“We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September”
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
January• A year to be glad in,
And not to be sad in,To gain in, to give in,A happy new year.A new year for trying,And never for sighing,A new year to live in,Oh, hold it most dear.
• The snow fell gently all the night. It made a blanket soft and white. It covered houses, flowers and groundBut did not make a single sound
February
• "February is merely as long as is needed to pass the time until March.""Away in a meadow all covered with snowThe little old groundhog looks for his shadowThe clouds in the sky determine our fateIf winter will leave us all early or late."- Don Halley
February
Groundhog’s day - lots of snow!
Valentine’s Day and winds that blow!
Black History Month and President’s day
Snowy fun though skies are gray!
Chinese New Year and Leap Year, too!
February’s short but there’s lots to do!
March
The March Wind
I come to work as well as play;
I’ll tell you what I do:
I whistle alt he live-long day,
“Woo-oo-oo-oo! Woo-oo!”
March
Windy, wild, and stormy days,
Then sunny light through shadow plays!
Cold, then warm; Winter, then spring,
No one knows what each day will bring!
Will the weather be cruel or will it be kind?
March never seems to make up its mind!
April
• April, dear April, I beg you come soon –And bring your sweet primroses too.Let them join in with the daffodils’ play, As skies offer sunshine anew.
April
April rain
And April sun
Show spring is here
and winter’s done!
Skateboards, bikes,
and jump ropes tell
that we are under
springtime’s spell!
May
Put away the snowsuits,
Your sleds, your warm wool hats!
Get out your bikes
and jump ropes,
Your baseballs and your bats!
Pack away your sweaters,
Your coats, and skiing gear!
Unpack your shorts and swimsuits,
It’s warm when May is here!
June
Sunny sands, blue sky,
A lazy day and kites to fly!
A picnic in a shady park,
Then fireworks sparkling after dark.
Enjoy each golden, sun-drenched day,
For summer’s here, it’s time to play!
