Well Done! Teachers, volunteers, and student assistants are vital to Early Childhood Ministry. January honorees are Amy Wright, Krista Benson and Matt McCormick in Promiseland; Marilyn Hunt in Noah’s Nursery; and student assistants Nicole Nagayama, Emma Wiley, and Claire McCormick. Thank you for sharing Jesus’ love with our children. Be sure to give them an MVPC hug!

Teachers Needed! We need a team of two adults to teach 3’s-5K during the 10:30am service to teach on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. All materials provided and ready for you. You will bless our little ones, and they will bless you in unexpected ways. Contact Kathy Veitch: x245; [email protected]; or stop by Noah’s Nursery.

Together in Prayer – Please pray for the people listed here and ask the Lord how He might invite you to care for them:

Healing: Ron Judson had knee replacement surgery on January 6th Travelling: Please pray for Krista Waugh who will be teaching English in Fiji for the next six months. Please pray for Andy Grubbs who is in Instanbul for a Semester Abroad Program. A Word of Appreciation: Joy and I are deeply grateful for all the expressions of sympathy from the congregation upon the death of my dear mother, Alma. Her love for Christ and His Church was key in my own faith development and the focus of God’s subsequent calling to pastoral ministry. She loved MVPC and has now joined my Dad, who passed away last May, her youngest son, my brother Dick, whose passing many of you shared with me in 1990, and all the saints in Glory. Praise God for the hope we have in Christ! Jim RuebIf you would like your name to appear here, please designate it on your Prayer and Care card located in the pew or contact Valerie Bigelow by Tuesday morning; x223; [email protected]. AM Prayer meets on Tuesdays, 7:30am, in the conference room in the church office.

Start the New Year right with a New Year’s Resolution worth keeping - the commitment to spend time with the Lord and His Word each day. The MVPC Prayer Ministry is providing a prayer bookmark for 2014 to assist you in this practice. Pick one up today in the Narthex.
