Most of the articles will contain links to connect you back to our website to find out even more information. What do I need to do? It is important to note that your newsletter will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your account. If you have not done so already, please contact your Neighborhood Office to confirm that the e-mail address on file is accurate. Will the e-newsletter be available elsewhere? We will continue to have hard copies of the newsletter available for pick-up at each Neighborhood Office. Each newsletter will also be posted on our website, should you miss its arrival in your inbox. Is there more information available about the e-newsletter? Utility and infrastructure

updates

The Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and Old North Utility Services, Inc. (ONUS) are in the process of replacing and modernizing water and sewer systems throughout post. They are currently working in Casablanca/Anzio Acres, and will upgrade the Pope and Ardennes/Bataan neighborhoods. Residents in these areas will be notified by ONUS prior to work beginning.

These needed infrastructure upgrades and modernization projects will improve military families’ quality of life for many years to come. Thank you for your patience during this time, especially those residents whose homes, streets and yards may be directly affected.

Yard of the MonthCongratulations to the August winners. Picerne Military Housing will provide each neighborhood winner a $25 AAFES gift card, and each installation winner a $50 AAFES gift card.

Please visit our website at www.braggpicerne.com/news for a copy of the Yard of the Month rules.

Suicide prevention information

Service Members and their families are strong and face many adventures throughout their military career. However, the military can also be stressful at times, leading some to have thoughts of suicide. Please remember that the military community has several local resources to help Service Members and their families during these difficult times, including:

• Chaplains: (910) 396-6564 during normal business hours, or (910) 396-4357 after duty hours

• Womack Social Work Services: (910) 907-7869

• Military One Source: (800) 464-8107

• National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: (800) 273-8255

If someone you know is talking about suicide, get them assistance immediately with three steps –

Ask, Care,

Escort. Ask your loved one if they are thinking of killing themselves. Care for your loved one – actively listen to show understanding, and remove any means that could be used for self injury. Escort your loved one – never leave them alone! Escort them to Chain of Command, Chaplain, Behavioral Health Professional, or Primary Care Provider.

For more information, please visit the Army Public Health Command website at http://phc.amedd.army.mil.

Your feedback is important

to us!

Picerne Military Housing wants to know how you prefer to receive information from us. By now, you should have received an e-mail from us about our Resident Communication Survey. In order for us to communicate with you effectively, we need your help.

Please take time to complete this short but important survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ResidentCommunicationSurvey and help us better serve you. If you did not receive an email about the survey, please contact your Neighborhood Office to update your contact information.
