Hotwork Limited was founded in 1962 in England. It offered a special service for the glass industry, using high velocity burners to dry out and heat up refractory. As this new system was very soon the common way of doing furnace heat ups, Hotwork Ltd. started to set up local offices in several countries around the globe. This technology is commonly used also in cement, steel, aluminum, petrochemical and other industries.
In 1986, former Hotwork Germany was bought by Jörg Köster. The new com-pany was named Hotwork Köster. As Jörg Köster came from the combusti-on field, steps have been taken to develop new combustion technologies main-ly for the glass industry. Hundreds of these Burners are in operation in the glass industry worldwide, prodiving excellence low NOx with highest energy efficience.
Hotwork Köster changed its company structure in 1999 as well as its name to Hotwork International with a final new head office in Switzerland from 2004 onwards. Since then the 100% family owned company started in the 2nd generation under the leadership of Benjamin Köster. Still, research and development are utmost important. New Burner de-signs and a partnership with UAS Messtechnik GmbH since 2010, proving our ambition.

Modern production facilities with CNC Milling, CNC Turning and Lasercutting as well as Ar-gon Arc welding and Oxygen cleaning facilities enabling Hotwork International to provide up to the latest standards high quality equipment for your combustion needs. Each Burner and accessories can be easily engineered to fit your current needs. Hotwork Internaional keeps its own engineering department to help our clients in the shortest possible and bud-get friendliest way.
Our production facilities are ISO 9001 certified and TÜV approved. Quality management systems approve any equipment before its installed.
Our service department furnishes equipment for process heat e.g. for the Heat Up and Dry Out of Furnaces, as well as the furnace draining of glass melting tanks. Equipments are stored in our facilities in Switzerland, India, China and the Philippines, offering a fast and reliable service worldwide. Being close in case of emergencies is important, with our own truck fleet we can reach - Germany in 20min. ; Austria in 30min. ; France in 2h ; Italy in 3h.
Highly qualified service engineers guarantee a smooth project completion at the highest quality and safety standards. Internal training and external safety measures are introduced as well as an internal and external evaluation of all burners and electrical components cer-tifying the best possible service available for our clients.
