Machine Shop:Services:• Fabrication of prototype mechanical equipment for research utilizing CNC mill,

Electrostatic Discharge Machine, Lathes, band saws, grinders*• Provide training on equipment and safety in the student machine shop• Provide and maintain machines in the student machine shop• Assistance selecting materials for mechanical design applications• Maintain a library of materials and equipment supplier catalogs• limited mechanical repair*• limited sand casting*• Assist with the design of mechanical prototypes and systems

Facilities Shop:Services:• Coordinate any building mechanical or electrical system requests that need

to be sent to GT facilities such as restroom, lighting, grounds keeping, cleaning, electrical work, HVAC issues, etc.*

• Issue keys and program access for buzz cards• Provide safety materials, equipment, and training• Assign office and lab space• Mail and package delivery• Capital assets inventory-apply stickers, coordinate annual inventory audit• Coordinate chemical inventory and audits• coordinate furniture purchases and installation*• Limited fabrication with wood*
