What's Inside
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela
St. Xavier's is paying special attention to the ways that we can maintain a strong sense of community online spaces. In addition to the relationships created within classes, students participated in various virtual activities, competitions, tours and celebrations. Students and parents were invited as a family to attend regularly scheduled online sessions called 'Parent- Teacher Conference'.
Through E-Learning , we have set our sights on helping our students become proficient in the skills required in the digital age - skills that will benefit them throughout their career. The best hope of our E-Learning programme is to create lasting advancement to our teaching and learning practices, elevating education at St. Xavier's and eliciting greatness from our students and ourselves.

Experiential Learning
We are all shaped by our experiences. No amount of textbook- learning can replace the wisdom, clarity, and knowledge that are drawn from experiences. Knowledge only helps when learners are able to make connection amongst what they know. And true knowledge seldom happens without experience. In this unprecedented time, it was indeed a challenge to emulate Experiential Learning in eLearning programs run by schools. But St. Xavier's High School Ghaziabad carved a niche for itself by going beyond traditional training with online simulation in these pandemic period too and by creating opportunities for reflection with scenarios in eLearning. Being aware of the fact that it's only by "doing" that students actually learn- the crux of Experiential learning, we focused on active doing and experimentation with situations that are close to the real work environments, paving the way to "learning by doing". Xavier's leveraged the power of shared learning with social learning successfully which helped students to get access to information and share their reflection with peers, fostering experiences. Learning is always fun with little gamification, which makes experiential learning more engaging and motivating. Xavierians actively posed challenges to their peers and learnt the practical utilization of knowledge and skills, they had acquired.

Emotional literacy allows us to understand our feelings and express them. It also helps to interpret the feelings of others which develops empathy and ability to work in team. Emotional literacy was taught to students by using feelings chart and modeling the management of emotions and helping students name their emotions followed by discussion on their reactions. It was quite harder to do when wearing masks. So, a fun activity was done with Grade 5 students and they were taught to read facial expressions from the eyes. As the game continued more nuanced feelings were discussed. Soon students became expert at reading facial expressions of others wearing masks.

THINGS I LIKE ABOUT MYSELF
As "Aarav" means "Peaceful". So I am very senstive and emotional child. One day my mother was crying for some reason…after looking at her, I also started crying. I respect my parents and love them alot. We together get united as 3A's - Anubhav, Archita and Aarav I am a keen observer and more inclined towards creativity from a very young age and made it a point to spend some time every day to do any creative work from drawing to making structures with building blocks. I love singing whether it's devotional song like "Krishna Manmohana , More Kanha , More Krishna" or title song of movie "Joker". These are some qualities which I liked the most about myself. Aarav Balupuri , 1 B
I don't copy others and I love the way I am .
I take my criticism in a positive way.
I like if people appreciate me.
I love to drink turmeric milk. It makes me strong.

When I grow up I want to be a doctor. I want to serve the humanity. A good doctor is respected everywhere. If I become a doctor, I will make sure that I'll be very kind to the poor and needy people. I will not charge any fee from them and I shall be helping the helpless. I will study Biology to make my dream comes true. One day, I will serve my nation. Aditya Mishra , 5 A

Title-  Wonderful Significant Memory ( A self Composed Poem)
Missing those old school days And also the friends' kidding ways.
Those friends can’t go out of the mine, As they are helping and very kind.
Memorizing that playing ground, And also the sonorous bell sound. Remembering those maddy gossips, And that wonderful game ‘Water-Sips’.
Oh! How can I forgot the loving teachers, As they had done all things for my future. Also recalling those atmosphere molecules, But now all things are there in my new school.

When I Grow up….
When I grow up, I will help my environment. Yes, this environment which is being destroyed by careless people. Why do people destroy this beautiful environment? Just for fun but this fun has a limit. I will plant many trees. We need green India. Pollution has been the root cause of this destruction of environment. From seas to land, and even mountains; every place has been covered with debris and litter. Trees are the best gift of nature. But some people are unaware of this. So ,they cut them to make chairs, houses and toys. This is the current situation of the environment on our Earth,

We can buy air purifiers, but do you think that people who are living on streets or those who are poor can't afford to buy an air purifier? They have to breathe impure air. If you see the pollution level in India, you will be shocked.
If you agree with me, then please take a pledge with me that “I will never destroy this environment. And never burst any type of crackers again.

Thank you from the core of my heart! A school is not just a building made of concrete but is the place where children grow into mature individual. A school is home away from home where the student discovers themselves and are guided into the right path. And specially in the present scenario I would like to thank each and every one from St. Xavier’s Ghaziabad. We moved from Delhi to Aditya City in March 2020 and the worst experience for everyone happened, Lockdown-Uncertainly, frustration, no one know what to do? And to the worst daughter being the blue eye girl from her last school she feels out of space and no friend to play with in that scenario. But thanks to the facility and the support team of St. Xavier’s Ghaziabad. Initially there is some issues due to unplanned scenario as everyone is new to the concept of virtual classroom but gradually everything settled. Even though the class are virtual the involvement of the facility is beyond expectation! I would like to thank each facility of IVA .

When we shifted to this remote location of Ghaziabad, we were astonished to see St Xavier school at this location. And as always, when our
child took admission there, they shown how a brand name is maintained.
Later they again surprised us, during corona period when they provided finest facilities for
online classes and that too by offering a decent discount to the parents in the name of corona relief. It is really a gentleman gesture by the
school for their children, in terms of facilities and to the parents in terms of relief.
I trust the school management, more then any
other school, I have seen ever. Thank you St.Xavier high school.
