also referred to as the Golden City, was founded on October 27, 1869,by William H. Spurgeon and was incorporated as a city in 1886.

As the second-most populous city in Orange County, the City of Santa

Ana is the official County government seat and is widely known as"Downtown Orange County." The City is proud to celebrate Santa

Ana's history and culture, along with its residents and businesses.
