Activity Rating
In this week’s session we want to look at the
activities you do in your life. Your homework
diary will help us with that. We want to
understand which activities you enjoy, and
which ones may give you a sense of
achievement. This is because we want you to do
more of those sorts of activities.

Activity Rating
In this session we are going to look at your weekly
activities and see how they make you feel. We call this
activity rating. This is important because we want you to do
more of the sort of activities that make you feel good.
Some activities make us feel good because we enjoy doing
them. But some activities make us feel good because they
are important to us or make us feel proud. These activities
may not be fun to do, but they give us a sense of achievement
once we have done them. This can be just as rewarding as
completing an activity that you enjoy! There are also
activities that connect us to other people and make us feel
close.
Let’s have a look at your activity diary homework.
Pick out something you have done. Think about each activity
and whether it gave you a sense of enjoyment, achievement
or closeness.
Enjoyment is

Rate my activities
Next, we are going to pick some of the activities you
listed in your homework and rate them on a scale of
0-10, depending on how you feel when you are doing
them – how much you enjoyed it and how good it felt
afterwards. This works in the same way that we ask
you to rate your mood each week:

Life Areas
In order to have a balanced and healthy life, it is
important to pay attention to all the different
areas of your life that are important to you. Let’s
work out what is really important to you in each of
these areas. What sort of person would you ideally
like to be? This will help you to decide what
activities you want to do more of.

enjoyment and achievement like we did in the session

to find activities you want to do more of.
