Physical Fitness

In this seminar, we do two different fun activities per

week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These may

include minute-to-win-it games, crafts, painting, acts

of kindness, and small experiments. Fridays are

designated for puzzles and boardgames. Pass days are

Mondays and Thursdays and will be used as study hall.

*There may be some repeat of activities from the first

seminar.

Critical Creativity

Looking for some Chill Out Time to break up your day! Research shows we need to take mindful moments and mental health breaks to recharge our batteries and be our best selves.

Chill out at Totally Zen! Here you can draw, color, journal, work on puzzles,, play board games, or talk quality in a chill and comfortable atmosphere. Once a week we will do a few yoga stretches or go outside to hang out with nature.

math problems? Would you rather do fun and

engaging math activities than to read a book? Or do

you need extra support in Algebra to prepare for

a girl” frustrate you? Do you want to know more about

and have the chance to discuss gender inequality issues

like glass ceilings, opportunity gaps, and gender

socialization issues? Do you sometimes feel like many

female perspectives are missing from most discussions?

Yes!? Well, this sounds like the seminar space you need!

This seminar is designed to provide a safe space for

students to explore the various experiences of being a

girl. We’ll discuss books and poems, current events, pop

culture, self-confidence, and feminism. We’ll look at the

school, national, and world conversations and make sure

HER voice is heard!

Once organized, students will focus on 4 main activities:

This learning seminar is designed to support student academic needs in a calm, stress-free classroom. During my structured study hall, students will work on organization by checking agendas, grades in Synergy, and assignments in Canvas.

Once students are organized, they will work on activities such as:

● Homework and project completion● Studying for upcoming quizzes or tests● Silent Reading
