We will be holding a weekly meeting with an experienced tutor
who will pass on knowledge and give practical help on how to
grow your own fruit vegetables plants and flowers In our
garden at the Activity Centre we will be building raised beds
that will be built out of natural resources (which will be good
for the environment)
We want to cater and encourage the local community disabled
senior citizens youth clubs nursery children and volunteers to
be involved with this project The youth club and day nursery
will grow their own fruit and vegetables cultivate and harvest
what they have grown and where possible cook and eat their
produce which promotes healthy eating
We will cater for the disabled by having raised beds for easy
access garden kneeling seats and long handled tools
Volunteers will be required to keep the gardens hanging
baskets and raised beds in order The project will make a
difference as due to the economic recession a lot of people
would like to grow their own but need a little help on how to
