We dont see the centralprotagonists face throughoutthe whole sequence whichadds a sense of mystery aswe dont know whos involved.

Images which arent pleasantfor the eye are used whichmake the viewer feeluncomfortable and thereforemess with your mindpsychologically.

The music is also tense andmakes the viewer again feeluncomfortable which adds tothe psychological thrillergenre.

Visually, what do the opening titlesequences show? How is narrative

enigma shown? The audience isnt aware of the significance of theobjects in the title sequence. It becomes clear that ascrap book is being made but because it is stilluncertain what is in the scrap book and who ismaking it, narrative enigma is held as the audienceis unaware of what will happen in the plot.

    How is the mise-en-sceneconveyed?

The plasters on theprotagonists hands suggestinjury, the fact we dont knowwhere it came from adds to the

tension and suspense createdin the title sequence. The red background could

symbolise blood and combinedwith the scratched out faceadds to the feel of a murderthat has taken place.

The writing on the pagesuggests someone who is hard

    working and systematic.
