Whisper Trim@Icage offers provenaerodynamic noisecontrol up to 18 dBA
that is effective for vapor, gas, or steam flow applications. Characterized cages
also available to match specific flow conditions.
Whisper Trim@III cages provide effective attenuationof aerodynamic
noise up to 30 dBA in vapor, gas, or steam applications involving high
pressure drops or high pressuredrop ratios. Whisper III cages havebeen enqineered to reduce flow iet interationas well as turbulence.
WhisperFlo@ trim representsstate of the art solution for applications thatdemand ultimate noise attenuation. This multi-path, multi-stage noise-
abatement technology combines Six Techniques which can reduce noise byup to 40 dBA. The ability to custom-characterize the trim optimizes the
valve's size yet minimizes the size of its downstream piping.
WhisperFlo@ Vent Diffuser providesan optimal solution for noise sources
which needto be releaseddirectly to atmosphere or system header. A vent
system has two potential noise sources that can generate unacceptable, high
noise levels. A WhisperFlo vent diffueser providesa solution for bothnoise
sources.
PULSO blowdown Vent Silencers and Line Silencers providethe solution
to high intensity, broadbandnoise associated with pressure relief systems
and gas/steam line turbulence. The PULSCOdesign reduces low frequency
noise byconverting it to high frequency waves through multiple expansionsand contractions pressurizeddiffuser and plenumsections. High frequency
noise is then easily absorbed by the acoustic packing in the tube module.
The Design V260 is a full bore pipeline control valve designed for optimized
pressure and flow control for ANSI 300 and 600 applications.An integral drilled
attenuator controls noise and vibration from high-pressure drop liquids and gases.The splined shaft connection to the actuator eliminates lost motion allowing for
precise control. The DesignV260Awith Aerodome attenuator,V260B withHydrodome,and V260C BallControl Valves combine the efficiency of a rotary
valvewith the energy-dissipatingcapability of a special trim to provide improved
performance for demandingcapabilities.

Cavitrol@ IIItrims are used for cavitating liquid applications in various globe and
angle valve bodies. A singlestage of pressure reductioncan handle pressuredrops up to 1440psi. The two, threeand four stage cages can handle upto 2160,3000, and 3500 psi drops respectively. Manyspecial characterizations aeavailable in Cavitrolill cages to match rangeablity requirements.
Design CAV4 control valve with CavitrollV trim is designed specifically for high
pressure liquid applications, such as boiler feedwater recirculation,where pressuredrops exceed 3000 psi to eliminate cavitation is a problem. The key design features
are HighDPCapability,Clearance Flow Staging, Separation of Throttling SeatingLocations and Class V & VI Shutoff.
Multi-Stage Micro-FlatTMis a multi-stage(3, 4,5,6 or 7 stage), anti-cavitation control
valve trim for use in services where high pressuredrop, staged cavitation control is
needed along with lowflow capability. The trim concept uses an axial, expanding area
flow path and features a protected seat designwhere the shutoff function of the valve isseparate from the throttlingareas of the trim. This trim is usedto eliminate cavitation
and can handle up to 5500 psi in a 7-stage configuration.
Design EZ-OVT valve trim is a patenteddual seat valve trim designedto maintain
long term tight shutoff in on-off services that contain particulates in the flow streamsuch as catalyst fines.
NotchFlo DSTAnti-cavitationtrim is designwith 4-stages to offer control of
high pressuredrop liquids (up to 2600 psi)while avoiding the damaging
effects of cavitation and pluggingdue to entrained particles. The designutilizes a high resistance, multi-stage,axial flow processwhere fluid flow is
parallel to the axis of the plugand cage.
Dirty Service Trim (DST)is a multi-stage (2,3,4, or 6 stage) anti-cavitation trim used
with a variety of control valves. It is used in severe serviceswhere the fluid may have
entrained particulatethat could plug the passages in or cause erosiondamage toconventional anti-cavitationtrims. The Patented trim design uses a combined axial and
radial flow that features large, open flow paths and large diameter holes (typical hole
size is 5/8" diameter to 3/4 "diameter). DST is frequently used in high pressure drop
applications up to 4000 psi in the chemical, refining, oil and gas production, and powerindustries.
