5th Annual Juried Fine Art Exhibition of Work Inspired by the Old Masters OPEN TO ALL ARTISTS
FEE (non-refunadable): Members: $15/each work or $40 for 3. Non-members: $20/each work or $50 for 3 Maximum 3 works
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS: Submit only recent original work, must have been completed within the last two years and draw demonstrable inspiration from a relevant artist/movement of 13th-18th century Europe. Work with glass must have rigid gallery-style frames. We suggest plain frames with neutral mats. Work exceeding 29” x 35” (1015 sq. inches) must use plastic. No unfinished canvas edges, protruding nails, staples or saw-tooth hangers. Tape wire ends. Hanging system must be secure.
Have your name, address, telephone number, Master or Movement that inspired the work, title of work, and sale price on back of paintings and under sculptures. Sculptures over 50 lbs must be set up by the artist. Installations must meet fire and safety codes of OSHA and free standing work must be stable and safe for viewing.
ELIGIBILITY: Work must be original, not previously shown at SFAC. No reproductions, or works by commercial printing process (i.e.,no giclees, enhanced giclees or prints of original artwork). Copying the style of the Master or his/her artwork as a starting point to create original artwork is acceptable.
COMMISSION: SFAC will retain a (50% nonmember, 30% member) commission on all work sold. Artist should adjust their prices accordingly. All artwork must be for sale.
LIABILITY: The Sacramento Fine Arts Center will be diligent in care of artwork but is not responsible for loss or damage that might occur. Insurance is the responsibility of each artist. Any work containing unacceptable materials may be withdrawn by the SFAC Board of Directors.
REMOVING WORK AND STORAGE FEES: Accepted work must remain for duration of show. It may be removed Sunday Sept. 2, between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. or the following week, during gallery hours. Work left after Sept. 10 will be assessed $5.00 per day per work. Work left after one month becomes the property of the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and will be used in one of our fund raisers.
ARTIST RECEPTION & AWARDS PRESENTATION: Sunday September 2, 3-5 pm
AWARDS: Best of Show wins a cash prize, First Place for all categories and Viewers Choice awarded cash, ribbons and merchandise (to be determined).

ORIGINALITY STATEMENT: I have read and agree to abide by all of the In the Style of the Old Masters rules. I waive any and all claims against the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and all individuals associated with the exhibit. I understand insurance is my responsibility. I will remove my work at the required time. Work left longer than one week after close of the show will be charged a storage fee of $5 per day per piece. Work left longer than one month after the close of the show will become the property of SFAC. The work I am submitting is my own original artwork and has never been shown at SFAC. My work may be reproduced for the catalog or publicity.
