Year 7 & 8 Disco
On Friday, May 4, the Strathfield Girls Prefects
held a disco for the Year 7 and 8 cohorts. The
school hall was decked out with lighting, a fog
machine, a photo booth, balloons, glow sticks,
streamers and other décor. In celebration of Star
Wars Day, the disco was spaced themed, and students and teachers alike dressed up to
show their appreciation for Star Wars. The disco, whilst predominantly being about
ensuring the Year 7s and 8s had a good time with their friends, also aimed to raise money
for school initiatives, being not only a very
exciting evening but also a successful financial
endeavour. The night was filled with laughter,
delicious food (you can’t go wrong with pizza),
good music and lots of funky dancing, and
prefects and
juniors alike
enjoyed this
opportunity to let loose for an evening and spend
some quality time relaxing with friends and peers.
Well done Prefects! Your excellent planning and hard
work culminated in an enjoyable evening out for your
junior sisters.
Thank you to Ms Wong, Miss Hartanto, Ms Shalini, Miss Lal, Ms Fawaz, Ms Saba, Mr Loke,
Mr Altaie who volunteered their time to supervise the event, and to senior executive for
their support for this event.

IMPORTANT NOTICES!!!
ROAD SAFETY
Parents/Carers/Students are reminded that you are not allowed to walk through or
drive into our school car parks. Please ensure that you abide by this rule to ensure
your own safety and the safety of others.
Parents/Carers are also reminded that they need to be mindful of parking in drive-
ways or making dangerous U-turns when dropping off or collecting their daughters
to and from school. The Strathfield Council is often ticketing parents for these and
other traffic infringements.
Let’s be safe and teach our children how to be respectful of others, on and off the
roads.
PARENT TEACHER NIGHTS
It is mandatory for all parents to attend these important meetings to discuss your daughter’s progress and areas requiring attention. This information sharing evening is very valuable in monitoring your daughter and her learning. Reports will not be issued to anyone other than a parent/carer on the night.
If you are unable to attend the interview and collect your daughter’s report, you will need to make an appointment with the Principal, Ms Lyris, to collect the report and discuss your daughter’s progress.
