Children’s Programmes over Shabbos
Children’s Service has resumed! In the Beis Hamedrash at 10.30am
Children’s Kiddush, led by Rivka Rabinowitz and Hannah Leah
Greenwood, takes place in the Beis Hamedrash at 11.20am
Shabbos Shuva Drosha – Continued
The Rav will be giving the third and final part of the Shabbos Shuva
Drosha after Mincha on Shabbos Bereishis (next Shabbos) on the
topic of: Hosting non Jewish guests in hotels or at home on Yom Tov.
The Murray Mekomos were emailed to everyone on our list before
Rosh Hashonoh.
Shabbos Bereishis/Mevorchim Kiddush
The Shabbos Mevorchim Kiddush combined with the Kiddush to
honour the Chosson Bereishis will take place in the Shul Foyer after
the Main Service (as access to the School Hall is not available)
Women’s Tehillim Group
The Women’s Tehillim Group meets on Sunday mornings at 10.00am
this week at Family Stemmer, 67 Holders Hill Avenue. The Tehillim is
for the sick people in our community and for peace in Eretz Yisrael.
7.30 Maariv
Second Maariv Monday to Thursday
The Second Maariv commences on Monday at 7.30pm and will be
followed on Monday by the Rav’s Shiur on Moed Koton and on
Wednesday by the Chavrusa Programme. We would request
members to support the Mincha/Maariv daily Minyan and the
Second Maariv Minyan right through the winter.
Women’s Tuesday Night Shiur
The Shiur, given by Rabbi Cohn, will resume shortly. Date to be
confirmed

Yom Kippur Appeal
This year’s appeal was in aid of four charities: (1) Ezer Mizion (Eretz
Yisroel Charity) (2) Gateshead Yeshivah (UK Charity) (3) Hatzolah
North West (Local London Charity) (4) NHS Charity Fund. The sum
pledged so far is quite respectable. If you were not in Shul, or you
did not complete a pledge card, you can still contribute. Please email
the amount to: [email protected] We would also like to
request all those who did make pledges to pass their payments to
David Segal as soon as possible (Ezer Mizion has an extensive website
if you wish to see more about what they do)
Simchas Torah Auctions
If you were successful in your bid at the Simchas Torah Auctions,
could you please arrange to make good your pledge as soon as
possible by giving your payment to David Segal
Can You Daven at the Amud, Lein or Recite Haftara?
We would like to widen the circle of members who are lnvolved in
the taking of Services, Leining or Reciting the Haftara particularly on
Shabbos at both Minyanim and on Yom Tov. If you can, and would
like to, be involved, please let us know. Anyone who may be a bit
“rusty” should ask and we can arrange assistance.

Hakomas Matzevoh – Stone Setting
The Hakomas Matzevoh – Stone Setting in memory of the late Jack
Cooper z.l. husband of Mrs Angela Cooper, father of Sharon
Lightstone, Rosalie Jaffe and Melanie Braunold and past President of
the North Hendon Shul, will take place at the Adath Yisroel
Cemetery, Silver Street, Cheshunt EN7 5JE on Sunday 14 October at
11.00am
