Thisis a new pub- lication for the en- tire Shadowed Lands
region. The aim of the publication is to increase both inter-
est and participation in the region and its goings-on. If
youreused to the latest plazachanges, then youll besure to find new
ways of enjoying the Shad-owed Lands. If youre
still struggling to cometo terms with the scope of the new
regions, then I hope readingwill allow you to find your place
amongst the adjustments.
My secondary concern in producing this is to boost activity by
pro- viding accurate over- views of progressions within the
Shadowed Lands. We can' t al-
ways read every post,and that can put peopleoff being active.
Shad-ows will endeavour to lighten the load by giving
point-by-point summaries of events;
enabling you to be knowledegably in- formed of plot-lines and
developments.(Disclaimer: rememberkids, it's wrong not toread the

This isn't to say it will all be news. The lead- ing feature for
this
news publication willbe an article called, af-fectionately, Tea
withTitans ( p. 4) , and it will provide exclusive
ward to a detailed arts section in every issue,showcasing the
best of the Shadowed Lands
talent for your own felicific enjoyment. And for those of you
that have an affinity for lore, there should be enough original
Tolkien for you to scrutinise for hours
with your copies ofHoME andLetters. In relation to this, we will
provide you withall the information on
interviews with some of the big decision makers in the Shad-owed
Lands. Provid-ing brief communiquesbetween the rulers and the
members is ex-pected to lead to some interesting insights,
and whetted appetites, as we' re informed (probably cringingly
vaguely) about what we can expect to ex-pect in the near
future.
You can also look for-
Tea with Titans how the various Shad- owed Lands teams are
performing in the Inter-Region competi-tions;all in a (relative-
ly) unbiased fashion.
Finally, we would all do well to reminded
that there are many op-portunities beyond theShadowed Lands ,
andshowing you just what there is to be offered in other regions.
