SANITATION AND DRINKING

• Shambunipally village has been declared as the Model Village with 100% ODF.

• National level award winner village

• Twin Pit toilets constructed in every home

• Every day Chowkidars are inspecting the village for any case of the Open

Defecation

• Few Coercive Measures also

SANITATION AND DRINKING

• RO Plant was established in the village in 2012 with a capacity of 1000 litr./hr .

• Cost :- 2 Lakhs (Plant Machinery) + 5 Lakhs (Building Cost)

• Most of the villagers contributed for the Plant and balance fund was provided by the

NTR foundation.

• 20 Litres for 5 Rs.

Swachh Bharat Campaign

• Campaign started in the early morning at 8.00 AM

• We traversed the whole village with brooms in our hand and one banner related to

the Swachh Bharat Mission

• We cleaned the roads and the Community places.

• A special awareness program was conducted for the Primary School Children.

DIGITAL FINANCIAL LITERACY

CAMP

• Camp was organized in the Panchayat Bhawan by co-operation with the Union Bank Of India

• Banking Correspondent and the Field officer of the UBI were the resource person

• Training was given on the mobile banking, BHIM App, and other basic banking features

• A de-briefing was given on the existing government schemes related to financial inclusion

HARITHA HARAM

• 40 Trees of various species (Amla, Pomegranate, Tamarind, Teak…..etc) were

planted

• Each tree was allotted to the Primary school students and enthusiastic villagers on

the line of “Tree Adoption Scheme”.

SUGGESTION

• Shortage of Teachers only 2 permanent teachers but classes were from 1 to 5

• Shortage of School buildings, existing buildings were in dilapidated condition

• Installation of Computers and Wi-Fi in the school.

• Kitchen shed for the Mid Day Meal preparation.

• Dire need of Outer Ring road and many internal roads with drainage fascility.

SUGGESTION

• Only one Worker was there for the sweeping and cleaning work of the village.

• Strict monitoring of the Banking Correspondent.

• Installation of the Central lighting system at the bus stand.

• Attached Toilets in the Anganwadi Centre.

CONCLUSION

• A lifetime memory

• An interaction with the SIMPLICITY

• Exposure with the Kolattam dance
