In Wonder, Auggie’s principal, Mr. Tushman, teaches the students that “we carry with us, as human beings, not just the capacity to be kind, but the very choice of kindness.” This Back to School, let’s forward kindness around the country! We’re teaming up with our friends at GapKids to encourage your students to help us #ChooseKind.

Submit your students’ designs to your “Certified Kind” account at wonderkindclassroom.com by September 15th to be entered into the Design Contest.

Eight winning designs will each be featured on a T-Shirt, to be sold as part of a Gap #ChooseKind Collection in select North America GapKids stores and online at Gap.com. The best part? 100% of proceeds will be donated to two inspiring organizations benefitting craniofacial differences: myFace and CCA Kids.

WHAT DOES KINDNESS LOOK LIKE?GapKids #ChooseKind T-Shirt Design Contest

Design must be onan 11 x 17 whitebackground.

No inclusion of names or proprietary intellectual propertyin the design.

No profanity or inappropriate graphic artwork.

Teachers must keep a physical copy of the original design. Originals of winning designs will be given to GAP.

PRECEPTS TO LIVE BYExploring Precepts as a Discussion StarterIn Wonder, Auggie’s English teacher, Mr. Browne, introduces students to his love of precepts. Simply put, precepts are principles to live by, and Mr. Browne’s selections celebrate kindness, hopefulness, the goodness of human beings, the strength of people’s hearts, and the power of people’s wills.
