Hardware Requirements

To run AmiBroker/Metastock you need PC-Compatible computer meeting followingminimum requirements

Installing ShareGuru Realtime Software

Download the latest version of ShareGuru Realtime software from our websitehttp://www.shareguru.in for a 7-Days FREE DEMO. Unzip the downloaded ZipFile and double click on the ShareGuruSetup icon. If upon clicking on this icon, aprompt window is opened to download Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, meansyour computer is not installed with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 as to runShareGuru Realtime, it is necessary that your computer should be installed withMicrosoft .NET Framework 2.0. You may download this from here

It is recommended to install the software on default Directory and Folderi.e.C:\Program Files\ShareGuru Realtime

After the installation is completed, double click on the ShareGuru Realtime icon onyour desktop and a registration window will open. You fill this registration form andShareGuru Realtime software will be opened and you will be prompted to fill YahooID details as below:

Please fill your Yahoo Login ID and Password and press the Save tab. Your Yahoodetails will be saved in the software and this is the one time process and it will notprompt you again & again when you close the software and open it again.

Settings

Settings menu option can be used to configure the Directories for converted data.

On the Menu Strip , click on Settings options.

To modify the directory path, click the browse button and traverse to the preferredlocation and press ok.

AmiBroker Database Creation

Steps to create AmiBroker Database to be used with ShareGuru Realtimesoftware.

Open Amibroker and go to Files Menu -> New -> Database. On the Dialogue Box that appears provide path and name for the Database.

i.e. C:\Program Files\ShareGuru Realtime\Data\Amibroker\Live Check Mark the check box to make the database load by default on start up

of AmiBroker.

Press the Create Button. Under the Data Source Section:

o Select (local database) from Data Source Drop Down Menu.o Select the Radio Button "Enable" for Local Data storage.o Write 50000 in Number of Bars column.o Select Base Time Interval as " Tick " from the Drop Down Menu.

Press Ok to finish the Database Setup Procedure and your AmiBrokersoftware is setup to be used with ShareGuru Realtime software.

NOTE : If you already have a database created, then simply go to File Menu -> OpenDatabase and traverse the path to that database. Making it the default databasewould ensure smooth functioning and no errors in data. AmiBroker should beinstalled on the same drive where you have installed ShareGuru Realtime softwarefor smooth functioning of both softwares.

Once the Database has been created and Data has been fetched into AmiBrokerthrough ShareGuru Realtime software, you can select the script symbol and viewits chart.

MetaStock Configuration

Viewing Charts in MetaStock® as such requires no additional configurations inMetaStock Software.

Simply Open the MetaStock Charting Software and browse to the folder specifiedunder ShareGuru Realtime Directory Settings and select your favourite script toview in MetaStock. Example : If you have provided the name of MetaStock

Directory under the” Settings” tab as C:\Program Files\ShareGuruRealtime\Data\Metastock\Live ,

then Open MetaStock Software , Go To File Menu -> Open Charts

Browse to C:\Program Files\ShareGuru Realtime\Data\Metastock\Live

Select the script symbol for which you want to plot the chart. Press OPEN and your chart will be displayed.

Yahoo Realtime

Introduction

ShareGuru Realtime software supports fetching Yahoo Data (Including Nationaland International Indices and Stocks).To use Yahoo Data properly, you need to beLogged In to Yahoo. At the time of setup please provide valid credentials to login tothe Yahoo servers for Real Time updation of data.

Open the ShareGuru Realtime Application.

Click On " Market Watch " option in menu tab

On the box that appears , select your favourite Ticker List Then click on " Load" Button.

You will see “Market Watch” updating with Real Time Quotes for scriptsincluded in the Ticker List.

To start updating your charting software with Yahoo Data, select yourcharting software first and then press the “Update Charts” button to startautomatic update procedure.

NOTE:

If you select Multilpe Ticker List to load , each Ticker List will run as aseparate Market Watch and each can have different settings , likeone can be used to update AmiBroker and second to updateMetaStock , one list will not hamper working of other list.

Backfill Data

Introduction

Intraday Data can be Backfilled with certain limitations.

1 minute Intraday Data available for the same day only. 5 minute Intraday Data available for past 5 days from the date of Backfilling.

Procedure for Backfilling:

Open the ShareGuru Realtime Application. Click on " Market Watch " option in menu tab. On the box that appears, select your favourite Ticker List. Then click " Load " Button.

You will see a Market Watch updating with Real Time Quotes for Scriptsincluded in the Ticker List.

To Backfill the data, select one or more scripts from the Market Watch bypressing Control Key +Mouse or press Shift Key to select multiple scripts.

After selecting the scripts , go to the “BACKFILL OPTIONS” section in theMarket Watch.

Either Select "1 Min Data (One day)" or "5 Min Data (5 days)" option andpress Download.

Example:

The download process will take a while depending upon the number of scripts. After downloading is complete, normal procedure to update charts can be

followed.

NOTE : IF YOU DONT SELECT ANY TICKERS AND PRESS THE DOWNLOADBUTTON ,THEN DATA OF ALL THE SCRIPTS IN THE OPENED MARKET WATCHWILL BE DOWNLOADED AND BACKILLED IN AMIBROKER/METASTOCK.

PIB Realtime

Introduction

To fetch data from Power Indiabulls Terminal , you need to have an account withIndiabulls and an active Client Id.

Login to Power Indiabulls Terminal (PIB) and open your all Market Watchesand keep them open all the time , otherwise data from PIB will not befetched.

For smooth running of PIB data in AmiBroker/MetaStock, right click on anysymbol in your Market Watch and click on “Intraday Charting” and a chart ofthat particular symbol will appear and then again right click on this chart andclick on “Synch” and keep this chart opened through out the trading hours.

Open ShareGuru Realtime Application. Click On " PIB Realtime " option in menu tab. For the First time users , on the Dialogue Box that appears, click the Browse

Button to select the Indiabulls Data Folder. You have to select the full path.Example : C:\Program Files\Indiabulls Securities Limited\Power

Indiabulls\DH26357\Data where“DH26357” is a folder in the name of yourPIB login User Id.

After setting up the Directory ,select your charting software asAmiBroker or MetaStock and press the UPDATE CHARTS button tostart updating your charting software with PIB Data .In case ofMetastock converted Data, It will be placed under the MetastockDirectory Specified under the” Settings” tab. ( See MetaStockConfiguration)

In the screen above you will see the scripts of list present in the Market WatchList of PIB and their latest updated prices, the updation procedure is automatic.

ODIN Realtime

1.Real Time Intraday Live Data is downloaded by ODIN from thevarious exchanges country wide (NSE - CASH & FO, BSE, MCX &NCDEX). This data once downloaded can be sent directly to yourTechnical Analysis Software (AmiBroker or MetaStock) usingShareGuru Realtime software. All this once started, happensautomatically, so that you can concentrate and work meaningfully &fruitfully on your own charts.

2.To start this, we first need to understand how the data will flow from ODIN. If youdo not have an ODIN account, you will need to open one with a broker who canprovide any such service. Once you have ODIN setup on your computer along withthe access rights, make your own Market Watch of the tickers you need, as shown inthe picture below:

3.To start continuous data flow, you will need to right click on each ticker which youwant to import and select 'Graph It'.

4.This will open the chart / graph of that ticker. You will need to open the graphs forall the tickers you want to import. After opening these graphs once, the data startsto flow and the graph can be closed. You can do this process before starts of theMarket also. Your ODIN is now set up and we can now progress to move the dataonto AmiBroker & MetaStock.

5.ODIN Data Extractor can be started by clicking ODIN Realtime tab inShareGuru Realtime software.

6.Once the ODIN Data Extractor starts, please select the Technical Analysissoftware to which you want to import the data. Once selected, it will always show thesame software; the next time you run it.

7.To begin with, you will need to select the Data Source Folder, where the data fromODIN is landing. The default folder for this is generally C:\ODIN\DIET\Data forODIN below version 9 and C:\ODIN\DIET\ChartData for ODIN above version 9.

8.Having selected the data folder, you will see the tickers which are there in thisfolder. These are the same tickers for which you selected 'Graph It/Intraday Chart' inyour ODIN.

9.Now click on Update Charts and see the data from your folder flow to the chartsand continue flowing Live thereon, till your ODIN is kept running in the background.

10.You can fill the 'Alias Name' column in prompt window and change the name ofthe ticker which is finally imported to your Technical Analysis Software. After youhave entered an Alias Name, you will be able to see the chart of the Alias Name andnot the ticker. The Alias Name window will prompt you once only and when you willclose this window after filling the Alias Name, it will save all changes and it will notagain prompt you for the same ticker.

11.You can modify/delete any ticker Alias Name by going to Tools>Alias NamesOrganizer.

NOTE:- You can update Real Time charts in AmiBroker or MetaStock fromODIN below version 9 but there is no option of Backfill Data however withODIN version above 9, you can only plot charts as Backfill Data is availablewith this version in real time.

EOD Download

INTRODUCTION

EOD Data for NSE-Scripts, NSE-Futures, NSE-Options, NSE-Indices & BSE-Scripts can also be downloaded through ShareGuru Realtime software.

Open ShareGuru Realtime Application. Click On " EOD Download " option in menu tab.

Indices/ Scriptwise Data :

Indices/Scriptwise EOD Data (NSE ONLY) can also be downloaded throughShareGuru Realtime software.

Select The Charting Software you are using. Provide the Date Range for which you want to download data. Two Separate Sections are provided.

One - Contains the list of NSE Indices.

Two - List of all the Scripts on NSE.

Check Mark all the things that you want to download and press the DownloadButton.

After Download is complete, the downloaded data will be fetched automatically intothe charting softwares.

Bhav Copy Data:

Daily Bhav Copy of NSE & BSE can also be downloaded with the help ofShareGuru Realtime software

Click on " Bhav Copy " tab.

Select the Charting Software you are using. Provide the Date Range for which you want to download data. Check Mark all the things that you want to download and press the Download

Button.

The Charting Software will be automatically updated and the data will be placedaccording to the Directory Settings of the user (done in the “Settings” tab).

Tickers Organizer

User defined Yahoo Ticker Lists can also be created for use With ShareGuruRealtime Yahoo Import Module.

Steps to Create User Defined Yahoo Ticker Lists are :

Log In to the ShareGuru Realtime Application. In the menu options select " Tickers Organizer " On the Dialogue Box that appears select the "Tickers" tab. To Create a new Ticker List, provide a name to the list in the Text Provided

and press "Create Ticker List" To add scripts to the newly created list , write Yahoo symbol in symbol

column at the bottom and its name and press “Save” tab.

Example:

Once the New Ticker List is created or already existing Ticker List is selected ,you can add/modify/delete tickers to the list.

To add a new symbol to the list write yahoo symbol in the symbol column atbottom and its name and press “Save” tab and the new symbol will be addedin the opened ticker list.

NOTE : If you have added a Yahoo symbol in the list but no data iscoming in the Market Watch, you can verify your symbol name fromfinance.yahoo.com

Updating Components for Yahoo Global Tickers List

The components of various International Markets can be updated at the click of abutton in ShareGuru Realtime software.

Steps to Update Components:

Log In to the ShareGuru Realtime Application. In the menu options select " Tickers Organizer " On the Dialogue Box that appears, select the "Global Tickers" tab.

Select Country/Market for which you want to update components and pressthe "DOWNLOAD SELECTED TICKERS" button.
