FINANCES FAMILY FRIENDS Shawn, Taylor, Hunter and Owen Welchman August 2019 We have adjusted to life here in Flagstaff and things are going great. We are staying busy as we have maneuvered into our school year routine. Shawn has been hard at work around the house making outdoor improvements to make our home look a little better for services in home. Taylor has been awaiting some paperwork, but is excited to begin a new adventure as an online English teacher. Hunter is loving third grade and is adjusting well to his new school. Owen is growing like a weed and is still happy as can be. After living here for about seven weeks, we have spent a lot of time in the city and learning more and more each day. Please continue to pray for us as we work together as a family to learn this culture, meet new people daily, and that the Holy Spirit would equip us to transition everyday conversations to spiritual matters. Several opportunities have risen for us to jump right into life here in Flagstaff. We are praying that these various avenues will open doors for us to share the Gospel. Shawn is now a leader for Adventure Guides at the YMCA. Adventure Guides is a father-son program where dad’s lead in adventures with their kids. Shawn has also been able to be a chaperone on a field trip for Hunter’s school. Taylor has been to several fitness classes and has met people there. She has also volunteered to be on the PTO at Hunter’s school and will begin to coach basketball soon. There is also another exciting opportunity that is about to begin. We have recently been approved as a host home for a program called FlagFriends. We will meet and regularly host international students who are studying this fall at Northern Arizona University. It will give us a chance to love on young adults, give them a home away from home and hopefully begin Bible studies with them. Please pray that God would bring the right students to our home. While on deputation we made mention as to the spiritual state of the city. Living here we have seen where all the facts and figures are accurate. Christ is the furthest from one’s mind here with no desire to know Him. The churches that are here do not see the spiritual decay of the city. Please be in deep prayer for revival to break out in the hearts of the people of Flagstaff. We want to express our appreciation to all of our financial partners for the sacrifice you make to help us and our ministry. We could not be here or do what we do without you. On a more personal note, please pray that we can finalize with a new health insurance provider. Moving from one state to another has been challenging when it comes to health care. We look forward and exciting things are ahead! We have traveling plans for September and are even in the works for mission trip opportunities next Summer. God is good and we are eager for what is to come.

August 2019 We have adjusted to life here in Flagstaff and things are going great. We are staying busy as we have

maneuvered into our school year routine. Shawn has been hard at work around the house making outdoor improvements to make our home look a little better for services in home. Taylor has been

awaiting some paperwork, but is excited to begin a new adventure as an online English teacher. Hunter is loving third grade and is adjusting well to his new school. Owen is growing like a weed and is still happy

as can be. After living here for about seven weeks, we have spent a lot of time in the city and learning more and

more each day. Please continue to pray for us as we work together as a family to learn this culture, meet new people

daily, and that the Holy Spirit would equip us to transition everyday conversations to spiritual matters.

She has also volunteered to be on the PTO at

Hunter’s school and will begin to coach basketball soon.

There is also another exciting opportunity that is about to begin. We have recently been approved as a host home for a program called FlagFriends. We will meet and regularly host international students who are studying this fall

at Northern Arizona University. It will give us a chance to love on young adults, give them a home away from home and hopefully begin Bible studies with them. Please pray that God would bring the right students to our home.

While on deputation we made mention as to the spiritual state of the city. Living here we have seen where all the

facts and figures are accurate. Christ is the furthest from one’s mind here with no desire to know Him. The churches that are here do not see the spiritual decay of the city. Please be in deep prayer for revival to break out in

the hearts of the people of Flagstaff. We want to express our appreciation to all of our financial partners for the sacrifice you make to help us

and our ministry. We could not be here or do what we do without you. On a more personal note, please pray that we can finalize with a new health insurance provider. Moving

from one state to another has been challenging when it comes to health care.

We look forward and exciting things are ahead! We have traveling plans for September and are even in the works for mission trip opportunities next Summer. God is good and we are eager for what is to come.
