Auto Updater In the Teller 19.1 release, enhancements were made to improve the upgrade process for the Teller application. Financial Institutions will now install a Teller upgrade package on a designated Admin Teller machine, approve the release, and then schedule the upgrade for the remaining Teller workstations.

Before the Auto Updater can begin scheduling upgrades, the Installer Tool must be installed on the Admin workstation. Once the Installer Tool has been installed, the Auto Updater will be available to begin scheduling workstation upgrades.

Setting up Admins

To set up the Admin, login into the Teller application as an admin user.

Select the Teller Upgrade Setup option on the Supervisor menu.

Note: The User ID that is used to install the Auto Updater must have “Admin” rights to the workstation to complete the install.

Note: Financial Institutions with access to http://secure.cardinalsoftwareinc.com will be able to access the https://secure.cardinalsoftwareinc.com/TellerUpdateService and continue the Auto Update Installer Tool install.

Financial Institutions filtering the network only to https://secure.cardinalsoftwareinc.com/CompassXD/ will need to add the https://secure.cardinalsoftwareinc.com/TellerUpdateService to the filter before beginning the install.

Users will need to save any work before beginning an

install.

The Upgrade Setup window will display. Select the workstation to be the Admin by checking the Admin column. Select Save.

Configuration To begin the install of the Installer Tool users must set the Configurations within the Teller Application.

Select the Teller Platform Configuration option.



Ensure the Updater Folder is set to the correct location.



Ensure that the Environment Settings>server path to teller update Service is set to the correct Service URL.



Install To begin the Installer Tool, select the Teller Updater 19.1

The User verification pop-up will display.

The Teller Updater 1.0.0 Install Wizard will display.

Select Next.



The Configuration window will display.

Complete the following fields:

Service URL Support will provide this URL DAT Library Enter the Financial Institution’s DAT library Server IP Address For SHAZAM Data Center customers this is provided by Support

For SHAZAM In-House customers this is the LP address to iSeries™ Platform Library Enter the Financial Institution’s platform library Branch ID Enter the branch number where the updater is being installed

Select Next.

The Completion window will display.

Select Next.



The Completion window will display again with verification of completion.

Select Finish.

Select the Start Menu on the PC.

Search for Services.



Within the Services window select Teller Maintenance Service and right click. Select Restart.

Once the Installer Tool is complete, the Admin may access the Auto Updater within the Teller application.



Schedule an Upgrade To schedule a Teller application upgrade, select the File Setup, Supervisor tab, then select Teller Upgrade Setup.

The Upgrade Setup window will display.

Schedule a Single Upgrade To schedule an update for a single workstation, locate the workstation to upgrade and select Schedule.

Set the Status to Install Approved.



Select Save.

Schedule a Group Upgrade To schedule multiple workstations for an upgrade, select the workstations to upgrade.

Set the Status for all workstations to Install Approved.

At the bottom of the Upgrade Setup screen, select the Date and Time for the upgrades to occur.

Select Publish Install. The Status will change automatically.

Note: Admin workstations that are set to receive SHAZAM updates will be automatically updated once the workstation is past due on two (2) updates. The update will occur when the Admin logs into the

workstation. This update will not be scheduled and can occur at any time. Once the Admin workstation update is received, the Admin can schedule the update for the remaining workstation.
