As the City of Miami Gardens has become the focal point and model for many successor cities, it’s only logi- cal we take the next step. The Chamber hosted its first event: Networking in the Gar- dens—a precursor to the official launch on March 30 th . Ducati Miami was the host of the pre-launch event and networking session. Located along the Palmetto Expressway and 20 th Avenue, Ducati Miami offered its beautiful showroom as the back- drop to this business event. Since 2008, the Club has pur-chased and delivered new appli-ances to families during the Christmas Holidays, read and provided books to over 1000 Mi-ami Gardens students and as-sisted local children by purchas-ing back to school supplies and clothing. Additionally, we have provided a Holiday Shopping ex-perience through the Miami Gar-dens Police Department “Shop with a Cop” Program and

awarded $8,000 in college schol-arships to local high school graduating seniors.

All participating restaurants will be featured in Legacy Magazine. Over 150 professionals and ex-ecutives from the South Florida area are expected in the show-room of the newest and hottest luxury car location in the area. food catered the affair. Council-members Oliver Gilbert and Felicia Robinson were also there offering their support to the Chamber and its future mem-bers. “We know that our busi-nesses are an integral part to our economy and we’re here to help,” said Councilman Gilbert.

The event was definitely a who’s who of the Miami Gardens and surrounding area. “The diversity of the various businesses that

attended was impressive. I see the chamber as being a proac-tive voice of the Miami Gardens business community,” said Mark Brown, President of the Black Global Bikers Association.
