    Shell Alvania Greases EP(LF) offer the excellent performance expected of theworld's leading brand of grease.

    They are premier quality, multipurpose, extreme-pressure industrial greasesbased on a blend of high viscosity index mineral oils and a lithiumhydroxystreate soap thickener and contain lead free extreme-pressure and

    other proven additives.Shell Alvania Greases EP(LF) are designed for the grease lubrication of rollingelement and plain bearings such as those found in the steel, paper, mining,quarrying and construction industries.

    Shell Alvania Greases EP(LF) 0 & 00 arespecifically designed for:

    Steel mill lubrication where a softer greaseis necessary for specialised dispensingsystems.

    Heavy duty plain and rolling elementbearings operating under severeconditions including shock loading in wetenvironments

    Gearbox applications where semi-fluidgreases are required

    Shell Alvania Grease EP(LF) 1 is designed for:

    Heavy duty bearings served by centraliseddispensing equipment

    Extreme-pressure gear grease for

    applications at normal ambienttemperature

    Heavy duty plain and rolling elementbearings operating under severeconditions including shock loading in wetenvironments

    Low temperature greasing applications

    Shell Alvania Grease EP(LF) 2 & 3

    are designed for:

    Heavy duty bearings and general industriallubrication

    Heavy duty plain and rolling elementbearings operating under severe

    conditions including shock loading in wetenvironments

    Operation over the temperature range -20C to 100C for bearings operating at75% of the maximum rated speed (Canwithstand up to 120C intermittently)

    shock loads without failure of the lubricantfilm.

    Superior mechanical stabilityCompared to 'leaded' Alvania, theresistance to extended mechanical workingis significantly improved. This isparticularly important in vibratingenvironments where poor mechanicalstability can lead to grease softening withsubsequent loss of lubrication performanceand leakage.

    Excellent resistance to water wash-outShell Alvania Greases EP(LF) have beenformulated to offer much improved levelsof resistance to water wash-out comparedto the old leaded product.

    Oxidation stabilitySpecially selected base oil componentshave excellent oxidation resistance. Theirconsistency will not alter in storage andthey withstand high operatingtemperatures without hardening orforming bearing deposits

    Excellent corrosion protectionShell Alvania Greases EP(LF) have astrong affinity with metal and have theability to protect bearing surfaces againstcorrosion, even when the grease iscontaminated with water.
