SHIKSHA ACHARYA (M.Ed) ENTRANCE TEST (SAET-2021)
1. Brief Introduction Of Central Sanskrit University
The Government of India in pursuance of the recommendations of the
Sanskrit Commission (1956-1957) established the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan on
15th October 1970 as an autonomous organization for the purpose of implementing
the policies and programmes of the Central Government for the development,
propagation and promotion of Sanskrit. The Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Govt. of India has declared it as Deemed to be University on 7th
May, 2002. The institute played a leading role in the field of Sanskrit education in
the last decades. Consequently, the Government of India approved the Rashtriya
Sanskrit Sansthan as the Central Sanskrit University as per the Government of India
Gazette No. CG-DL-A-17042020-219068 dated 17th April 2020. Accordingly, the
Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is established as Central Sanskrit University from April
30, 2020.
This organization is duly recognized by NCTE, U.G.C. and member of
Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This Institution is assessed and accredited
with 'A' grade by NAAC. Facilities for the study of programmes from Prak Shastri
to Acharya/ Vidya-Varidhi (Ph.D.) are available in Campuses. Shiksha Shastri
(B.Ed.) programme is available in 10 (ten) Campuses, where the admission is given
on the basis of Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (SSET). Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.)
programme is also available in its Campuses.

2. Eligibility for Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed) Entrance Test
(I) Eligibility
i. This programme is of Two years. Those students who have passed Shastri/B.A.
(Skt.)/equivalent degree and/or Acharya/ M.A.(Skt.)/equivalent degree and
Shiksha Shastri/B.Ed. (With Sanskrit Teaching) with 50% of marks from any
recognized University are eligible. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/
Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Caste (OBC)/ Person with disability (PwD)
categories, 5% relaxation will be allowed in the minimum pass percentage
required for admission.
ii. At least 50% marks in both theory and practical papers separately and 50% marks
in the aggregate are required in Shiksha Shastri./B.Ed.( With Sanskrit Teaching).
iii. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Person with
disability (PwD) categories, 5% relaxation will be allowed in the minimum pass
percentage required for admission 45% in each section (Theory & Practical) and
45% in aggregate.
iv. Admission to Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) programme will be given on the basis
of prescribed reservations by the Govt. of India and in order of merit of the
Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) Entrance Test 2021.
(II) Age-limit
A candidate seeking admission to Shiksha Acharya Programme must have completed 22
years of age on or before 1st October, 2021. No age relaxation will be permitted.
(III) Method of Selection
Admission to Shiksha Acharya programme will be through written entrance test called
Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test (SAET). All candidates seeking admission to the programme
must apply on prescribed online application. All eligible candidates will be required to appear for
written test. Admit cards for appearing in the SAET will be uploaded on CSU website. While
applying online application, each candidate is directed to mention his/her choice in maximum
preference order for admission in CSU Campuses. The mentioned same choice preference
order will be followed for admission in CSU Campuses. In case of non-availability of seats in the
desired Campus, the admission may be given in any one of the Campuses according to merit.
Merit-lists for admission will be prepared in All India level. The information for successful
candidates will be uploaded on website.

3.Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed) Entrance Test (SAET-2021)
This Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test 2021 is meant for admission to Shiksha Acharya
(M.Ed.) programme in the CSU. The medium of instruction and examination will be Sanskrit
only. In this University for the programme of Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) 100 seats are available.

Education is free, but for other expenditure a candidate will have to pay fees at the time of
admission as per rules of the University.
Other expenditures
For whatever miscellaneous expenditure is to be done on matters related to training
activities. This fund will be spent strictly in accordance with the students' activities only.

5 A. Reservation of seats is as follows:
Out of the total number of seats in Shiksha Acharya, reservation as per rules of the
Government of India will be applicable as indicated below:-
For candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Section 10%
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste 15%
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe 7.5%
For Other Backward Classes (OBC) as per Central Govt. List 27%
For Person with Disability (PwD) 3% For children/widows of Armed Forces Personnel disabled/killed during the
war/Hostilities (Clear mentioning of disability/Death is essential in the
certificate)

competitions only

Note : In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates the seats will be filled up from
the General Category candidates as per the directives of UGC/GOI.
Candidate who belongs to any of the above reserved categories should bring a certificate of
their category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer at the time of admission in Campuses. Failing
which the eligibility will be rejected. In case of non-availability of such candidates, the seats will
be filled from the general category. Allotment of reservation of seats will be done at the central
level for CSU Campuses only.
5 B. Competent Authorities for issuing the Certificates for Reserved
Categories are as under:-
i. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category- District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional
Magistrate/Tehsildar/Mandal Revenue officer (M.R.O.)
ii. Otherwise abled and blind. Chief Medical Officer of Civil Hospital (Only 40% or more
disability will be considered.) iii. For Children/Widows of Armed Forces personnel disabled/killed in the war/hostilities
Secretary - Army/Navy/Air-force Board.
6. Entrance Test – 2021 Date and Timings :
Central Sanskrit University will conduct Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed) Entrance Test (SAET-
2021), for two years Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) programme on 08th
August, 2021 (Time -10:00
A.M. to 12:40 P.M.) tentatively at specified centers in different parts of the country. Eligible
candidates can apply Online with in time for entrance test by following websites:-

7. Examination Centres
The allotment of the centre for examination shall be done as per information given by the student.
Once the centre for examination is allotted, it will not be changed. The candidate has to appear at the
allotted centre only. The examination centre can be changed/canceled by CSU priory information.

4. The facts mentioned in the online application will be duly verified at the time of
examination and admission.
5. On verification of any type of false information legal action as per rules will be taken. It
also includes disqualification from examination or cancellation of admission.
6. Upload your clear and latest photo on the online form. If the photo does not match
properly at the time of examination/admission then it may result in disqualification from
the examination/ cancellation of admission or any other legal action deemed fit.

9. Instructions for filling the online application
The applicants appearing for SAET - 2021 can fill prescribed online application from
websites of Central Sanskrit University, Delhi. The online applications filled after the last date
will not be accepted. Only eligible candidates in SAET will be admitted in order of merit. This
merit list will be valid for the year 2021 only. Admit Cards will be downloaded from 15th
July,

2021 onwards. No transfer will be permissible after admission and the fees paid shall also not be
transferred.
At the time of Admission in CSU Campus Shiksha Acharya Programme the SAET-2021
original admit card has to be submitted compulsorily. * Please upload passport-size dated latest Photograph with date on the online application.
10. Notable Points Before Online Applying
1. Only eligible candidates can appear in the written test. Non-eligible candidates appearing for
SAET Test will themselves be responsible for the consequences. 2. Shiksha Acharya programme is recognized by NCTE. The admission will be strictly on
the basis of number of seats and merit of each CSU Campuses. 3. Scrutiny of eligibility for admission, decision regarding the catchment area, verification of
reservations etc. are under the control of the concerned CSU. 4. In case of admission, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor of the CSU shall be final.
5. No re-evaluation of the answer copy is permissible.
6. All legal matters will be settled under Delhi HIGH COURT JURISDICTION only.
11. Duration of the Examination
The total duration of this paper is two and half hours which is divided as follows-
One and half hours (1½) for the first 'Part-A' objective-type of the paper. One hour for
the second 'Part-B' descriptive type of the paper for which separate question paper and answer
sheet will be provided. Ten minutes extra will be provided for collecting the OMR sheets, the
question paper booklets and distribution of the answer sheet of the Q.P. Part 'B'. At 11:35AM
only the Q.P. Part 'B' shall be distributed. During this period the candidates will keep sitting in
their respective seats.
Notice
At the time of entering the examination hall admit card has to be produced compulsorily.
The candidate appearing in the test should bring his/her own black or blue ball point pen
for the test.
Candidates using unfair means, getting external help or helping others or indulging in
indiscipline in the test will be disqualified. Criminal or Judicial action can also be initiated.
In case of mismatch of photo, doubt etc. suspension from exam or legal action will be
taken. For any such inconvenience, the candidate himself/herself will be responsible for
this.
Calculator, Mobile Phone, Smart Watch etc. are prohibited in the examination hall.

12 . Question Paper Format
The Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test (SAET) will consist of question paper in two
parts. Part 'A' and Part 'B'
(i) Part A will consist of four sections.
For each question, four choices of the answers shall be provided. Out of those,
only one will be the correct answer. Only one correct answer is to be marked like ( )
in OMR sheet. If more than one answer is marked for any question, it will be treated
as invalid and no mark will be awarded for such an answer. All the questions will be
in Sanskrit.

13 . Evaluation Method
Medium of Shiksha Acharya course is Sanskrit. Candidates securing minimum 50% marks in both the parts 'A' & 'B' separately will be considered as passed. However second part of those candidates, not securing 50% marks in first part, will not be evaluated.
14. Special Note - Results
1. The merit list of results of the Entrance Test will be prepared All India level for admission.
2. CSU will give admission according to their own admission policy.
3. The admission will not be transferred to Campus after taking admission in one Campus.
