General Information:
CSHS and DSH are collaborating to bring you a great weekend in the pines! Alice Sarno is managing the jumper classes in the round arena, and Anna Lewis is managing the hunter and equitation classes in the grandstand arena. The jumper and hunter rings will run simultaneously, and management will work together to accommodate trainers with riders in both rings. All entries and stalls are managed through CSHS. Start times and class schedules are subject to change. Show Fees:•$20 per class / $25 Money Classes / $55 Hunter & Eq Divisions •$15 Unjudged Warm-Up•$20/30/40 Office fee (1/2/3 days)•$25 post entry•$20/day Schooling (number required)•$20 Daily Haul In (or Stall fee)•$1 AHJA fee•$1 Refundable number fee•Schooling only/not showing fees: number, haul-in or stall fee, office fee, and schooling fee. All horses must display a show number when ridden on show grounds, no exception.Online Entry and Entry Forms are available at www.copperstatehorseshows.com. $100 deposit required to qualify as an on-time entry; if you enter and do not show, office fees are forfeited. Changes to classes/divisions may be made the day of the show without penalty.Payment options: We accept Cash, Checks, VISA, MC, AMEX, and Pay Pal (upon pre-approval). Numbers and proper head/foot wear required Attire/Equipment - riding boots with a heel and an ASTM approved riding helmet are mandatory for riders. USEF rules will be followed for horse equipment. Martingales are prohibited in non-jumping and hunter hack classes.CSHS Awards & Prizes: Ribbons or Points awarded 1st through 6th place (your choice). Points are redeemable towards prizes. Championship and Reserve Championship Ribbons awarded for each division. For championships to be awarded, there must be a minimum of 3 entries per class, and exhibitor must enter in 3 classes in the division. $100 Hi Point Hunter Trainer and $100 Hi Point Jumper Trainer- combined points from 3 show days.CSHS Year End Hi Point Awards (Dec 2012-Nov 2013): Pre-Short Stirrup, Hunter Pleasure, Mini Crossrail Hunter, Pony Hunter, Open Hunter, and CSHS Hunter Classic. Awardee must have shown in same division at a CSHS at least 3 times to qualify.Show management reserves the right to refuse any entries at its sole discretion. CSHS Class/Division Descriptions:
Pre-Short Stirrup Equitation - Open to riders 10 years and younger, as of Dec 1, 2012. Riders may be accompanied in the ring by adults. No cross-entering in canter or o/f or o/p classes. Walk Trot Divisions - open to beginner riders. Riders may not cross enter into any other classes except 10, 11, and 13. In class 13 (GAYP) these riders must choose to trot.Hunter Pleasure Division - open to any horse or rider. To be judged on manners, obedience and way of going. Riders choose to trot or canter in the Go as you Please phase. (Same gait in both directions)Mini Crossrail Division – open to beginner riders. Trotting not penalized. Riders may not cross enter into any classes with fences higher than 18”.Hunter Hack - open to any horse or rider. Horses to work on the flat in both directions and then jump two X-rails according to the judge’s directions. Martingales prohibited.Crossrail Division - Riders may not cross enter into any classes with fences higher than 2’3”. Trotting not penalized.Future Hunter Divisions – same (rules) as Crossrail Division, no oxers or flowers, twice around. (2’ Verticals)Green Hunter Division - Open to any pony/horse in first year of showing over fences. Choice of 18” crossrails or 2’ verticals. Trotting not penalized.Pony Hunter Division– Open to all ages, (Non-Pros only). May be split Juniors & Adults if entries warrant.Pre Children’s/Adult Amateur Division - open to junior and adult amateur riders. Riders may not cross-enter into any classes with fences higher than 2’6”AHJA Cat II Medal Classes – Work-off at judges discretion USEF tests 1-9. 4 riders must complete course in order for class to countCopper $tate Hunter Cla$$ic - $5 added back to $25 starting pot. 2nd round Handy-Hunter. Class A-Unjudged Warm Up – An opportunity for anyone to ride a warm-up round in the show arena immediately preceding your division. Ticket required. You must give your ticket to the gate person and state that you are doing your warm-up. Otherwise, your round will count as one of your classes.
Trainers/Exhibitors: We are starting in the morning with class 200 (2’ Warm up) and will go through class 62 (Open Hunter). We will then break long enough to arrange the course for classes 1-28 and for a short schooling period in the show ring. If you need additional time, we suggest the Class A Unjudged Warm Up (see Class Descriptions).
