Housing for All -Overview• Housing for All by 2022
• State level launch held on 8th December, 2015
• Mission to cover all statutory towns and beneficiaries belonging to EWS,
LIG MIG1 & MIG2 categories.
• Mission has four components:
1. “In situ” Rehabilitation of existing slum dwellers using land as a
resource through private participation –(for EWS)
2. Credit Linked Subsidy (CLS) –(for EWS,LIG.MIG1&MIG2)
3. Affordable Housing in Partnership –( for EWS,LIG )
4. Subsidy for beneficiary-led individual house construction or
enhancement. –(for EWS)
• Credit Linked subsidy component is a Central Sector Scheme while other
3 to be implemented as Centrally Sponsored Scheme. 3

Central Assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh per EWS house in projects where 35% houses for EWS category.
For individuals of EWS category for new house or enhancement .
Cities to prepare a separate integrated project for such beneficiaries.

Issues
• Most of the Urban Local Bodies haveconducted Loan Melas attended by manypeople, but the result is just 2 to 5%.
• Banks are showing stringent attitude insanctioning loans to EWS/LIG category.4 wheeler access to the plot, submission of ITreturns, Minimum Plot size of 3 cents of landetc are being insisted by Banks, which arecreating difficulty to the most vulnerablecategory.

• Conversion of Existing Housing Loan to CLSS
• Special Focus on Target Groups like Police, Teachers, Govt. employees etc (on MIG)
• District level camps by banks/financial institutions
• IEC campaign through FM Radio
