Any questions please see Ms. Loving.  BOYS SOCCER Last day for  Boys Soccer tryouts at 3:30pm North of the Track, Must have Physicals completed prior.  SENIORS If you completed the on-line application for Reedley College/Fresno City College; you will be receiving an email from SCCCD (State Center Community College District) with instructions that you will need to follow for completing the On-line orientation, DO NOT DELETE! The on-line orientation is open. PLEASE check your email daily. Email is the #1 form of communication that colleges use. Any questions or if you need help see Ms. Loving. CLASS SHIRTS Class shirts are availabl e for purchase while supplies last. You can purchase your shirt in the finance office for $13 and then bring your receipt to room 1005. Sizes and quantities are limited so get them while they are here. Also, we are now selling the black ASB shirts for $13.  SENIORS If you need to see our Fresno State rep, he will be on campus tomorrow from 8:00am – 

2:15pm. Please sign up in Ms. Loving’s room 1002 to make sure that he calls you in. CSU application deadline is November 30th!!!! 

GIRL SOCCER Girls Soccer Tryouts will be through Friday 11/7 @3:30 in the field behind Softball DiamondDon’t forget your yellow slip. 

SENIORS It is extremely IMPORTANT that we have your social security number in our records ASAP ifwe don’t already have it. You being eligible to receive FREE money for college will be in

 jeopardy! If you have a social security number please come and see Ms. Loving to makesure that we have it in our system. If you are unsure or you have any questions Ms. Lovingwill help you. 

LIBRARY Ever wanted to be President for a day? Log on to the SHS library webpage this month to tryyour luck on being commander-in-chief. In the Executive Command on-line game, you can

be President for four years! Check it out! 

 ATTN: STUDENTS Have you participated in an enrichment program during extended lunch? The following

activities are offered to all eligible students during extended lunch:

Scrapbooking in room 705 with Mrs.ThornburgBasketball in the gym with Mr.PallesiWhiffleball and Kickball on the varsity baseball diamond with Mr.Hollet and Mr.Lewis

 Auto Maintenance and Repair in room 311 with Mr.MozComputer Aided Drafting and Design in room 305 with Mr.Olinger

CELL PHONES & Please be respectful of the NO cell phone & IPOD rule from 8 AM – 3:30 PM. If your cell 

IPODS phone is confiscated; A Parent/guardian must come to Selma High to pick up the item. Noexcuses. Please be respectful of the Selma High School Rules.

LIBRARY The library will be closed tomorrow from 7 am-2pm, for library staff to attend a districtlibrary meeting. The library will reopen on Friday after two o’clock and will remain open till6:15 for the after school program.

RIVARLY WEEK   This week is Rivalry Week as our volleyball, water polo and football teams will take on the

long standing rival, the Kingsburg Vikings. We will celebrate the week with daily dress upsand activities at lunch. Our water polo and volleyball teams will play Kingsburg today andtomorrow our JV/Varsity football teams will travel to Kingsburg for their final league game

of the season. We need students in the stands at each of these events!

 VANQUISH THE Tomorrow; we will have our annual Vanquish the Vikings Festival during an extended lunch

 VIKINGS FESTIVAL There will be carnival games, food booths, and a mini rally. All food and game booths willrequire tickets which we will sell for $1 each in advance beginning on Wednesday atlunch. Cash will not be taken at any booth so plan ahead.

FOOD BOOTHS: Pizza, Panda Bowls, Nachos, Frito Boats, Sal’s Burritos, Enchiladas and Flautas, Hot Cheetos/Cheese,

Kettle Corn, Jamba Juice, Indian Sweets, Pazookies 

CARNIVAL GAMES: Soda Ring Toss, Plinko, Corn Hole Game, Goodie Walk, Fish Bowl Game, Inflatables, Jousting,

Cake Walk, Soda Ring Toss, Dart Pop, Bungee Run, Pie Throwing, and more!

CANNED FOOD Our annual Canned Food Drive started Monday, November 3 through all 1st periodDRIVE  classes. All cans will be donated to New Hope Church who will in turn donate to Selma

families in need. Like always, we will award the class with the highest can per student

ratio with a pizza party. Cans are worth 1 point and Top Ramen is 10 for 1 point. Theabsolute last day to bring a can will be Thursday, November 20 in 1st period. Also, everybox you bring in for the cans is worth 2 points per class. We need boxes!! Let’s do our partand help those in the community that need it most.

STUDENTS The AVID fieldtrip to CSU Sacramento & UC Davis has been rescheduled for Thursday,November 13th. The cost is $30, if you are interesting in attending please see Mrs. Manter

 ASAP.

SAT/ACT  Seniors; if you haven’t taken your SAT or ACT or you just want to take it again; December

is the LAST test date that you can take if you are applying to a UC or CSU. The deadline toregister for the December 6th SAT is TODAY. The deadline to register for the December 13th 

 ACT is November 7th. Fee waivers are available. See Ms. Loving in room 1002 ASAP! 

 VOTE FOR BOOKS The library voting results are in and we are pleased to announce that the Realistic FictionRESULTS  genre came in 1st. Fantasy was second and in third place was Mystery/Horror. We would like

to thank all of those students who participated by voting.

 ALL STUDENTS Please use the crosswalk at all times. Especially before school and after school. WrightStreet is particularly busy with the usual congestion of cars and buses. The pedestriancrossing is there to keep us safe.

SENIORS The senior panoramic (group) picture will be taken on Friday, November 7th, in the stadiumduring the last 20 minutes of 4th period. Please make sure you get to the stadium promptly

by 11:50. Start making t-shirts with your friends now to stand out in this memorablepicture. YOU MUST BE WEARING A SHIRT. Anyone trying to take a picture shirtless will notbe allowed in the picture. Panoramic pictures will be on sale in December. Stay tuned fordetails. 

 ALL STUDENTS Have you checked your school email? Important school information, including extended

lunch tutorial assignments, will be sent to your school email. If you haven’t logged in thisyear it’s never too late to start. 

SADIE HAWKINS  Attention all ladies... It's time to start thinking about who you'd like to ask to Sadie's! The

class of 2018 is excited to host this years "Sadie's Goes 80's" at Cal Skate in Clovis onFriday, November 21 from 9:30pm to 11:00pm. Tickets will go on sale a week in advance.Get your date lines up because this is one event you won't want to miss!

SENIORS The yearbook staff will be collecting baby pictures for the yearbook. There are only 55 spotsavailable for this section and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost forincluding your baby picture will be $5. Come out to the quad during lunch on Wednesday,November 12th and bring both your picture and money. Spots cannot be reserved with justyour $5. You must bring your picture too!

INDIAN CLUB Indian club meeting today at lunch after tutorial at 12:45pm in Mr. Garcia’s room 908.
