A forest guard mustaccompany the jeep.The best time to visit Siliguri are the dryseasons : March-May and October-November.

1 Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary
Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Siliguri,West Bengal 734401, India
A variety of other animals and birds maketheir home within its 100 sq km area. Plansare afoot to merge the sanctuary with BuxaTiger Reserve under the title of NationalPark to ensure a better conservation effort.The best way to explore Jaldapara is by
taking the one-hour elephant safari. Amaximum of four people are allowed oneach elephant. The safari from the TouristLodge at Madarihat is subject to theavailability of elephants. The parkauthorities don’t provide vehicles for safaris,so you’ll have to rent one from theMadarihat Lodge or a tourist agency. Aforest guard must accompany the jeep.
