    Due to youth summer camps, some of the senior classes that take place in the Dance Studio will be moved toanother room or not take place on specific dates. See the chart below.

    The Senior Room, whichis located between theComputer Center and theLibrary, is a comfortableroom for seniors to read,play cards and boardgames, and attend classesat various times eachmonth. Four computers*are available to seniors.

    *You need a Takoma Park Librarycard to access the computers.Food and drinks are not permitted inthe Senior Room.

    Bone Builders consists of three parts: balance exercises,

    weight training and discussion concerning diet, safety and

    exercise. This program, in partnership with MontgomeryCounty, uses trained RSVP volunteers supervised by a certified

    trainer. Registration is required. Dance Studio. No cost.

    the ways yoga can help you increase flexi-

    martial art of tai-chi chuan, a gentle moving meditation that

    improves health and restores balance and calm. The class will

    emphasize relaxation, posture, and breathing through the slow,

    integrated exercise of the traditional Yang-style short form.

    Back by popular demand, we will return again this year to enjoy a good old-fashioned county fair with animaland agricultural exhibits, craft shows, commercial vendor booths and festival foods. Bring your lunch, orspending money to buy lunch, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Some, but not all, of the fairgrounds

    buildings and grounds are accessible by wheelchair. Dress appropriately for comfort. Rain or Shine!

    1. To begin the registration process, please call 301-891-7280 to include your name on a pre-registration list.Note: This list will hold the participants place in line for 3 days to one week, depending on when the trip is scheduled in themonth. Registration for the current months trip (s) will usually begin on the first business day of the month. To insure

    proper processing, it is best to speak directly with a Recreation Department staff person. Do not leave a recorded message.

    2. A Takoma Park Recreation Department registration form is required for each trip.Note: This form must be received by the end of the pre-registration period, or the participant will be removed from the list,and the space will become available.

    3. Please register in-person, or mail the registration form to: Takoma Park Recreation Department, 7500 Maple

    Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912.

    Note: We have a fair first come-first serve system for all participants.     The National Museum of Health and Medicine recently moved to Silver Spring, relocating from its former spotat Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. You will see a variety of unusual medical exhibits

    from Americans past, from which you may form an appreciation of modern medicine. Warning: Some of youmay find a few of these medical exhibits disturbing but most of you will find them fascinating. Dress forcomfort. Rain or Shine! Bring spending money to purchase your lunch at a local eatery.
