Stuff the Vandalized Earthquake Trailer ‐ Sat. Apr, 2Come out and help to stuff Cowichan Secondary's Earthquake trailer. Thieves broke it and stole almost of the contents within thetrailer. the trailer contained enough supplies to the students safe for 72 hours after a crisis. Notice of Water Main Flushing Mar. 14 ‐ Apr. 8Please be advised that the City of Duncan is conducting its annual water main flushing between March 14 and April8, 2016, which will affect all users of the City of Duncan water system. This flushing is done to ensurethe continued supply of safe drinking water. Portions of this work will be conducted during the early morninghours in an attempt to minimize any inconvenience. UBCM Economic Survey ‐ Deadline Fri. Apr. 1The Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM), the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and the BC Economic Development Association(BCEDA) are partnering together for a study looking at trends in local‐level economic development in B.C. Previously conducted by UBCM in2009, this year's survey will allow for a longitudinal comparison of the local economic development landscape in B.C., and will provideinsight into the opportunities, challenges and unique activities being undertaken across the province.

Western Innovation Initiative ‐ Call for Proposals ‐ Intake 3On March 14, 2016, Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) will be launching the third call for proposals for the Western Innovation(WINN) Initiative. The objective of WINN is to assist small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in commercializing new technology‐basedproducts, processes and services. WINN is a $100 million, five‐year federal funding initiative that provides repayable contributions to SME's located in Western Canada. WINNcomplements WD's existing programs and supports an environment where local businesses can thrive and innovate.
